Lay The Draw…Any success?

  • Has anyone ever been successful with Lay The Draw and would like to share?

For those who do not know, it is estimated 8-10% of football matches end with draw. Therefore some tactics say to wait the first half. If the first half is draw…0:0, 1:1..etc, the odds on draw will be around 2.5-3.5. You lay for £10 and then once a team scores you back the draw at odds of 5+ for a nice profit. Effectively its trading and a pure gamble.

If there is anyone who has been doing this or attempted this technique, please come forward if you have some concrete results. Thanks

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

    Hi Rogerbj
Started laying the draw with a bit of success but some nervous moments. How does it work with bore draw?
    Thanks

I think LTD on any Man City home match would bring quite a bit of success at the minute ?

I have also had some success with another variation of this. It involves placing a lay bet on the draw where a team is winning by one goal late in the game. By placing the lay bet around 85 minutes into the game, the small gap between back and lay odds is quickly wiped out because the rate of increase of draw back odds is fastest close to the end of the match. Once the back odds exceed the lay bet odds, you have the choice of placing a smaller back bet to guarantee a small profit, place a back bet equal in value to your lay bet to give yourself a risk free shot at larger winnings if the match becomes a draw or if you feel adventurous, just let the lay bet run on its own in the hope that the match will not end as a draw. The obvious risk is that the match becomes drawn during the short period between placing the lay bet and the subsequent back bet.

Biscuit – just back city and lay when winning…. same theory

Gilbs- what’s your edge? Unless you think the draw odds would be wrong in that situation it’s no different to just backing a team ahead by 1 goal late in a game.

Edge comes from 365 Bore Draw refunds.
Most punters using Lay the Draw are finding margins reduced if Back Odds dont increase as much as they used to after 1st Goal or maybe even reduced if the “dog of an outsider” scores 1st.
By using 365 you know the % margin will be 35%ish as lomg as a goal is scored.
