My matched betting career is over

  • I’ve finally had enough. Currently withdrawing all funds. Got some money tied up in the Euros but not a great deal.

I’ve made £130 this month, mostly from Royal Ascot, and I’ve just totally lost enthusiasm for it.

I’ll still check out my emails for any really easy deals. Deposit bonuses and the like, but doubt I’ll make much of an effort.

Just thought I’d hit you with some statistics………..

    Start date – 10/09/15
    Profit – £3,957.72
    Total bets – 1465
Total cost of back bets – £33,939.66
Most profitable bookie – William Hill (£672.15)
    2nd profitable bookie – Skybet (£542.47)

Biggest loss in one bet – £100 (was playing with fire and got burnt)

Number of gubbed accounts – 10

Bookies that lost the most money to me:
    BET365 – £2,538.01
    Will Hill – £1,024.28
    Netbet – £937.00

Bookies that made the most from me:
    Totesport – £500
    10bet – £255

    Biggest profit in one bet – £68.87 (Bet365 Risk free £50 in-play)

Total amount of free bets used – £4,293.00

    Most profitable month – Dec15 – £694.25

Hours spent looking for offers, on this forum, thinking about betting = TOO MANY!

This forum has totally died over the last couple of months. But it’s been great, and I wish everyone the best of luck.

I might still check it out once in a while, but its game over for now.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

The facts are dannyk that opportunities for matchbetting in terms of offers available are very much reduced.
That and the extent of gubbings have made it very difficult to make the gains that were available 12 months ago.

So do you still do any offers have any accounts? Ive never seen you post an offer etc? Ive not seen a drop in my profits since i started a few years ago. Just have to invest more money and time to it sometimes.

Thanks for all the posts guys. Dont worry, Im not sad about it ending as I have two young kids and Ive spent too much time looking at my phone on a Saturday than having fun with them.
I’m well happy with £4k profit in 9 months. I would bever have thought Id make that much when I first started.
I still have sky, betfair, netbet and a few others so I can always have a go in the future. Im sure these things happen in cycles and at some point offers will improve again.
Patrick, I dont know what your satisfaction is really. Its like you want us to all cry or something. You were right about laying horses though as I picked 4 winners in a row and lost £210 lol. Thats part of the reason Im quitting as I am a terrible loser lol

Patrick is right I for one totally layed into him when he was winding us up but you can clearly see how Matt now posts so many potential profits just check out the royal ascot ladbrokes posts.
As mentioned previously changing the MBS on the CH4 races was a real bummer as it was so easy to get 3/4 free bets at leastfrom laddies/hills and sky each saturday

Ryan is right Patrick. For newbies or people with fresh accounts matched betting certainly isn’t dead. The offers are still there.

Euros alone £10 freebie per day at Coral, £5-10 at PP, Ladbrokes £10 inplay freebie per day. Bet365 2 x £50 inplays. Betfair (selected people only) Bet 20 Euros get £10 Copa America each day. Boyles crossbar refund any market £25, been hit in 9 matches so far.

The reason a lot of them arent posted is because people got sick to death of the arguing and back biting on here.

Good luck Ice, I have enjoyed reading your posts, but before you go check out beesty2016s post on this forum. Provided it is not a wind up (from memory his/her posts in the past seemed reasonable) then you may want to change your mind.

£19K profit in the last month seems unbelievable to me but who knows, if I was you I would at least look at what he/she has to say and see if its possible to do similar.

    Shame Ice Magic.

Nice to see a lot of the old faces on this thread, who contributed so much 6-12 months ago and it’s a pity this place died.

My earnings have also suffered after the MBS offer changed. Cheltenham was truly amazing… bookies lost big and have definitely tightened things up.

I’m still making a couple of hundred + a month for quite little work (don’t mind doing the available offers whilst watching a tv series.etc), so sticking in the game. Opportunities still available for the cash (albeit a lot smaller) and will look into other options when they arise.

Take it easy Ice, enjoyed the exchanges (no pun intended) on here with you during the golden days.

Gubbings rather than lack of offers are the death knell for us as well as the fact that all the idiots on this forum are putting us off from posting. I’ve only got Bet365, bwin, 188bet, winner, sportingbet, betsafe, betfred and totesport left but still managing to make plenty during the Euros. The offers are definitely still out there.

Think what has helped me greatly is having unrestricted internet access at work with the big festivals coinciding with quiet periods. Will never forget Cheltenham, it was exhausting.

I’ll be here for a bit longer, passed my target back in May and just sticking around to milk Euro 2016 despite the amount of hostility towards me everytime I post.

Agreed. The forum rose quickly when a few of us all helped each other and new people a lot. Then a certain crowd were pricks repeatedly on here and were never banned/removed so the community has been somewhat destroyed.

Cheltenham was immense and I made so much during that week, so many offers and everything pretty much came off. I’ll be lurking around, I still make a descent amount for my time, certainly having to be more creative but the money is out there. Will be paying for a very nice holiday at the very least 🙂 🙂 🙂
