New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Sounds like a good offer to me. First game is Hull vs Leicester on the saturday and then Bournemouth vs Man Utd on Sunday. It’s pretty obvious to bet on hull to win and Bournemouth
+0So what percentage of the original bet is the free bet?
+0Hang on, available in shops? I am licking my lips at this if so.
+0Guaranteed profit, great offer.
+04.0/4.3 => €2.10 QL to win €25FB if Leicester lead at HT.
Effective odds 9.52.
Laying at the moment for 4.0 will probably tighten up but take 4.0 as example.
So input €2.10 as stake and effective odds 9.52/4.0 on calculator and so lay €5.02 on the Leicester to win 1st half.
So Leicester winning at HT then your down 2.10 QL and down 15.06 pay out on smarkets but up €20 after free bet extraction.
Leicester not winning at HT then up €5.02 – commission on the ht lay. Down 2.10 QL on original bet.
Lock in €2.82 profit either way. Just to estimate the value of the offer. Probably more as lay odds not great atm.
So twice each weekend, roughly €6 times say 4 shops could be €24 per week guaranteed…
Worth running round a few shops? Hit enough then I guess it could be €100.
+0This defo on in shops lads? And defo in Ireland too Fog?
+0I think so Dan. Terms say include retail. I’m thinking of testing the waters.

Interesting. T&C says it does:
Applies to all Online, Mobile, Phone, Shop, Text and PP Messenger bets. Max free bet EUR/GBP25 per customer.
I go past 2 shops on the way home from work so could easily pop in on fridays and do this. Will check your maths in the morning @FoG_BloG – not that I doubt you! 😉
+0Prefer bet £20 pre get £10 inplay 🙁 guessing they are not doing that then this year… Coral £10 correct score offer better
+0Will consistently backing the outsider not lead to very quick gubbings?
+0I don’t know Pickle, it is a bit random.
You could still guarantee a profit by going on the favourite but you’re giving away potential and have no guarantee your account will last longer than if you go for under dog.
I started a little sheet to figure out the value and lay required for each option.

You can go for 1. guaranteed profit, 2. risk free profit, or 3. something in between which is what I like to do now a days.
Risk free is good as in you win big when you win but it is frustrating as you can have long barren spells. Also I don’t want to drive around shop to shop for zero reward. So I think I will just adjust the lays so that I am winning €1 or €2 per shop per bet but still win big when I win.
I think guaranteed equal profit win or lose isn’t a good idea either as in if I get the free bets then there is extra work/risk in legging it to the shop hoping that they aren’t on to me and give me the free bet and I can extract profit. So for the extra work I want to make it worth my while. So I want to win more when my team is losing at HT, so underlaying that part of the bet.
Tony I haven’t done much shop betting, had a small go during Goodwood/Galway. They don’t seem to ask for anything other than your cash. So no ID, no username, no email, no payment card. Nothing to link you back to your gubbed online accounts.
+0Yeah I wouldn’t like to do this promo online (as Im sure that would lead to a quick gubbing) but quite happy to go into a couple of shops if I dont have to provide any of my personal details. How do they give you your free bet back when you go into shops? (not done much shop mb’ing).
+0I can’t believe you guys aren’t all already gubbed from paddy. I have been gubbed since January, even my brother (a non matched bettor got the email and he barely bets on anything except tennis and a couple of the bet 20 get 10 football promo’s I advised him). So in shop is my only choice.
I will give this a shot in the shop this weekend and see how I get on and report back. The lay odds need to improve though if it’s going to be worth my while spreading the net and hitting extra paddy shops each week. As far as I can see I only have 3 shops within 30km of me here.
It would take me an hour round trip to hit them all and get back here, and the same again to pick up any winnings/free bets extract profit. With 3 shops I can probably guarantee at least €5 (between both weekend matches) per shop so €15+ for 2 hours work, so €7.50 per hour which is below minimum wage!
+0Factor in the cost of petrol to cover the 30Km Foggy then it makes it even worse. Probably need to live in big city with lots of Paddy shops in close proximity to make this offer worth while. I too wonder how these guys still have their Paddy accounts, I got gubbed in very short order by them. I certainly wasn’t doing all their offers, and was mug betting too. I think its just random luck with some of these bookies if they gubb you or not.
