Potential catastrophes

So last night i was looking at the enhanced odds on the QPR v Brighton match on sky bet. I noticed they were better odds than were currently available to lay on smarkets. So i put £15 on 1-0 to QPR and £15 on 1-0 Brighton for small profits. Then about a hour later i was back on smarkets and realised id been looking and bet on the half time market. So after frantically looking round at ways i could cut my liabilities. In the end i put my £25 qualifying bet with sky on exactly 1 first half goal @ 2.5 and my £10 free bet on it as well as soon as the game started. Luckily for me it was 0-0 at half time and i got away with it. Also had to match the original 1-0s at full time for small losses. Think id have lost about £45 had Brighton been 1-0 up at the break. Definitely a bullet dodged but no profit from the free bet. Anyone else got any horror stories?

Walka in June/July I was £500 up…and had a nightmare with Winner and also lost the lost and even almost some of my savings, and now im sitting here £2500 up..you just need to go again! Bet365 £50 risk free inplay offer Monday and all the free bets over the weekend money to be made!

Managed to convince my parents to lend me a bit and have now completed the rollover, got around the £70 mark. It’s just unfortunate that the money didn’t go straight into the betting exchange.

Not exactly the same it was with Winner and all my cash got stuck as bonus funds and it was very risky and lost quite abit…so stopped and then eventually started again! and well do most the offers but also do some of my own like alot of 2nd horse races with ladbrokes/william hill on a Saturday!

Messed up several times :
1. arbing ice hockey match arround 75gbp to profit 8gbp… ended losing 75gbp 😡
2. wolfsburg vs mufc match bet 365 offer. place draw 25gbp prematch then place wolfsburg 25gbp
back mufc 20gbp. ended losing 25gbp (bet365)
3. place perth glory 25gbp @4.3 ended win 100+gbp (betvictor)
4. now im up at 350gbp 😀

Bad times, sorry to hear that 🙁

What exactly have you done though to lose £500 in one fell swoop? Surely by a lay bet not getting matched the worst that could happen was that you lost your Net Bet stake?

However, if you placed your lay bet successfully and were unable to place your back bet at Net Bet then this is a prime example of why you NEVER (EVER) place your lay bet first!

What was the Net Bet offer you were trying to take advantage of? With respect, if you are in a position where you cannot “handle” an accidental £500 loss then your bankroll is clearly not large enough to be trying the higher value sign up offers, which I think Net Bet is?

I am genuinely sorry to hear about the situation you find yourself in Walka, but this post serves as a reminder to others.

Now, funds allowing, chin up and start again – plenty of risk free profit to be made over the festive period, I am sure! 🙂

yeah just had a nightmare my bets kept winning in net bet where i was trying to get the money out of so did a big one and lost the lot. I still feel sick and cant believe iv lost my profits. Yeah got to slowly get it all back now 🙁 gutted
