I worked out the stats on my Sky ew spam betting on anything of value.

76 bets on, total stake £176.70, total returns £154.07, net loss £22.63.

I had one bet on Reed and at least one bet on all the top ten bar Finau but, none of the guys that I had three or more bets on came in – Casey, Day, Matsuyama and Noren.

Pretty good result. Shame spieth didn’t win and DJ didn’t extra place, but at least Stenson got back into top 8.

As a reference for where money came in, not bragging (and need to confirm everything settled as expected) –

£4 net of place arbs/qls chasing 6th/7th with Hills

£180 each way arbing the top 8. Underlaying win to leave a small roundings shot at first, then underlaying remaining stake on place for risk free shot

£28 net of place arb and ql chasing extra 6th place. Basically I did 2 value bets and layed places after Fowler had shortened in price

£62 taking value off the Betfair 8 place market on stenson

£13 loss on sky. Smaller version of crispy. Basically you do lot unlaid each way bets then you open yourself to long term variance on the win

£145 arbing on Reed. I arbed a lot of the win markets, hammered Reed inplay last night and lost an account because of it.

Others probably made more, I’m sure a certain someone will use this as a guide to his profit brag on oddsmonkey
I had so much covered the above wasn’t pure luck, was on for nearly double the above at one point last night. So there is quite a bit money to be made. It took time but was a good return for what I put in, took a LOT of capital and sure will have a long term account impact (as does anything we do).

I took £98 on trading Reed and Spieth last night, Spieth’s comeback had me a bit jittery at one point but unlike the overreactionary markets, I was sure Reed wouldn’t throw it away. Thats all I did, probably should have got more involved but no way of knowing how bad Saturdays racing was going to be. Luckily a couple of nice underlays and High 5/Four Means More free bets made it a very profitable Sunday.

Time for a break now until the start of Aintree on Thursday.

Well done betman. I did okay. Placed a lot of value bets before the tournament and layed off only for a little on some as prices came in.

I think I got quite lucky, but could have got a whole lot luckier. Also I had so many covered that I was bound to get lucky somewhere. There was a lot of value in the ew markets – sky virtually every golfer, paddy and bet365 and will had some good prices as well and 8 places there wasn’t too bad.

On sky I spammed them too, had about 140 total on over 40 golfers, had two max bets on Reed and had the top 10 bar Ca. Smith. Some of top 10 had 2 stakes on. I came out with 180 return. So 40 profit.

Was very lucky on paddy with Spieth McIlroy stenson and Fowler all placing and that’s about all I did on paddy. It was nice because my paddy stakes were a whole lot bigger than my sky stakes. My will bets came nowhere and about broke even on bet365.

Had a good week too. Mainly thanks to Reed win, would have been looking at about half of the profit there if he’d have fallen away, still can’t believe he didn’t birdie any of the par 5s after being -13 through the 12 of em days 1-3.

Stenson birdie at 18 a nice swing too for extra place. Small profits on Rahm and Fowler places too just about cancelled out some losing punts and extra place underlays on Casey, DJ and couple of others.

All winnings present and correct.

The 3 things that helped were hills boosts allowing me to build arbs and low ql each way shots, the strength of the 8place market at bookies and 0%commission.

Without the above my results are suddenly a string of qls for higher variance value. Value is still value but I think the message for anyone newer reading all this is know when to be cautious with a few pound you don’t mind losing, and know when to go harder at genuine risk free shots.

Paddys 8 places so full payout.

Smarkets 3/4 return so only a small loss in comparison.

Just noticed my Hills flash boost on Mcllroy top 5 finish is rather less than expected. It was advertised as 4.5 but I got £11.25 back (£1.25 profit)??? Anyone been onto live chat about this?
