William Hill MBS Races – 24th Feb

So William Hill have the 2.20 Lingfield and 3.00 Doncaster as their money back as a free bet if second specials today.

Staying clear of the 3.00 but my favourite lucky horse Little Indian goes in the 2.20 in what is a decent shot at a free bet. He’s already won me a £25 free bet at Sky and a £25 free bet at WH so going for three in a row today. I do love him.

Going to put £5 on him as a mug bet at Ladbrokes too incase he actually wins.

I have certainly giving quite a bit of thought to what qualifying losses I should be willing to take on these races. Less than a pound on one of the faves has been a rule of thumb I have been using.

Got pyroclastic as well for 42p loss on this 2:20.

Same, shame I didn’t wait to lay as the lay odds dropped quite a lot, still only 40p qualifier

I usually find WH odds are fairly good and if you get them at the right time you can easily get around £1 qualifying loss. Obviously sometimes I take more (especially on a Saturday where you have this & Ladbrokes) and also betfair 3/1 SP etc makes the qualifying loss’s less relevant as you will make a lot on the Channel 4.

I managed to back Pyroclastic in the 2.20 at Lingfield at 6.0 and lay at 5.9 for a qualify loss of 64p and it came 2nd. Happy days :-) £25 free bet :-)

Yeah, Hills must have had a glitch there @DannyC, the odds of 6.0 hung around for ages whilst the exchanges plummeted – managed to match at 5.3 for a tidy qualifying profit for a change :)

The bet is still showing as an Open Bet in my WH app mind,so no refund yet – same boat as you @peck1996 – weird

Same here, I now have two bets still sat as open well after the race has finished.

edit – they were having issues this morning, the whole site was down, may be related.

Most likely anti – i’m in no hurry to use the free bet in any case, would be more frustrating if I had backed the winner and they had my money tied up

They have tweeted apologizing for the delay in payments for horses and dogs, trying to get it sorted asap etc etc

Ah good. Thought it was just me, I had a winner and haven’t been paid out yet since 2:20. Its just sitting there in open bets as won.

Thought they were investigating my account before releasing my winnings!
