William Hill New Horse Racing Offer

  • Hi all. I’m fairly new to matched betting so still getting to grips how to play certain offers. My first thought was this looks good but not sure how to play it. Any advice??

    HIGH 5
    Our New Horse Racing Offer

One in three National Hunt (jumps) races were won by five or more lengths last season.

With that in mind, we give you our new racing offer – High 5. Place a bet on selected jumps meetings, and if a horse wins by 5 or more lengths…

» Back the winner and you’ll get a 25% bonus.
» Finish second and get money back as a free bet.

There’s a High 5 meeting every single day:
    ‣ Friday and Saturday – All jumps meetings.
    ‣ Sunday to Thursday – One selected meeting.
    ‣ All live Channel 4 races

It all starts this Friday, just in time for the top class racing at Cheltenham’s three day Open Meeting.

So if your horse romps home, or finishes behind a clear winner, we’ve got this jumps season covered.

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I use the same tactic as Tony.

Backed Soldier in Action at 2.2 (it hit 2.25 a couple of times) and laid it off around 2.1 (some at 2.14 and some at 2.02). Looked like there was a lot of late money for it.

@tonyr Here is that list of QL that I said I would post up for info. These are for stakes varying from £25 up to £400, but all have been acheived by following the strategy described above:

    -£1.81, -£0.40, -£5.90, -£2.66, -£0.67, £4.02, -£2.00, £8.00, -£1.48, -£0.72, -£0.40
    -£0.80, -£0.75, £0.00, -£2.88, £0.00, -£7.52, -£1.17, -£1.82, -£0.40, -£1.60, -£5.73
    -£1.56, -£3.11, -£1.12, -£0.24, -£2.00, £0.01, -£1.90, £0.00, -£0.24, £2.00, -£4.00
    -£0.74, -£0.51, -£1.38, -£1.04, £0.04, £17.00, -£6.88, -£1.70, £1.77, -£2.00, £0.00
    £7.18, -£0.98, -£7.25, -£1.90, -£0.80, £0.00, -£8.80, -£1.65, -£0.99, -£1.58, -£0.50
    -£0.04, -£0.96, -£0.67, -£3.96, -£3.14, -£0.80, -£0.72, -£1.44, -£0.40, -£0.76, -£6.88
    -£3.94, -£0.40, £6.56, -£1.00, -£1.44, -£0.72, -£0.35, -£4.72, £5.66, -£5.90, -£1.24, £4.10

    That’s a total of -£74.72 QL over 78 races = -£0.96 per race

    Can’t hit a loser today.

    Exchange taking a pounding.

Warwick and Exeter today, with plenty of 3m+ races and also plenty of races with 6-9 runners.

One or two races with really low priced odds-on favs, so will be looking for a 2nd place qualifier there instead of lobbing £800 on the 1.17 shot 🙂

How did you get on with your first go at this offer then, @TonyC

Don’t like bragging as I always jinx the stuff but… 3 days on this – 91.76 in freebets!

    Nice one 😉

Some good opportunities today to increase that even more

Just to mention that 1.17 shot wass just those odds on paddy/ladbrokes./coral, maybe still is, and 1.14 on the exchange!!

Back every favourite…. no matter how many times I tell myself to do this I keep on missing free bets by convincing myself I have found a live one that is about to get gambled.

Still thinking what I wanna do with that 1.17 horse. Go all in or try and hunt the 2nd place?

Strong 2nd favourite so maybe…. actually that race would make a good BWO.

@BBob, I wouldn’t back every favourite on this offer unless you are making a profit/very small loss you will massively decrease the overall value of the offer, not to mention how much of your time it will consume.

I would avoid the 2:10 at Exeter unless the market moves dramatically, you are unlikely to get a decent match on anything for 2nd and backing the Fav will flag you up as not a punter.

    * Unless someone can be bothered to do the sums on backing the 2nd or 3rd Fav ew and laying the place.

If i wasnt gubbed given the 1.17 shot is low low i’d do 25 win on it. Wont lose anything, no silly money moving about and u never know he might come 2nd by 5! Better play than nothing IMHO….maybe why im gubbed tho IMHO

Sorry but why would backing the favourite ever be the thing to flag you up as not a punter? Punters back the favourites! I can think of plenty of less punterish actions.

Think there is a non runner for those looking e/w in the 210
