William Hill New Horse Racing Offer

  • Hi all. I’m fairly new to matched betting so still getting to grips how to play certain offers. My first thought was this looks good but not sure how to play it. Any advice??

    HIGH 5
    Our New Horse Racing Offer

One in three National Hunt (jumps) races were won by five or more lengths last season.

With that in mind, we give you our new racing offer – High 5. Place a bet on selected jumps meetings, and if a horse wins by 5 or more lengths…

» Back the winner and you’ll get a 25% bonus.
» Finish second and get money back as a free bet.

There’s a High 5 meeting every single day:
    ‣ Friday and Saturday – All jumps meetings.
    ‣ Sunday to Thursday – One selected meeting.
    ‣ All live Channel 4 races

It all starts this Friday, just in time for the top class racing at Cheltenham’s three day Open Meeting.

So if your horse romps home, or finishes behind a clear winner, we’ve got this jumps season covered.

I was doing multiple horses on this offer and my account lasted 3 months. Made thousands. I took another account did one horse per race. Account lasted 4 days. Completely different ip, device, person, address. The whole point is to get what you can as quick as you can.

Using the excuse that it will get you gubbed quicker would be making the assumption you know the criteria. Your account could last you 9 months (which is very doubtful as you are still taking value each race which will be picked up on) backing one horse per race and you would have spent 3 x the amount of time it took me to make on average the same profit as yourself in 3 months backing on average 3 horses per race . if the terms allow you back as many horses as possible for the offer then its a no brainer you take full advantage of that.

Agree with Leicester Sy, also about the guys that can’t sleep at night being worried 24/7 – you’re not their only customer!!!! Bookies have millions of users and thousands of matched bettors – you’re not special (which is good). Some folk think urghh what if I back the two horses priced at evens on this race which consists of 6 runners and the other 4 are 50/1+ no hopers…. Nahh what if a trader is currently looking at my account. Grab what you can and run. Best tactic

Today’ Sedgefield looks absolutely disastrous. Boom on the first race – not a single soul could get on because Smarkets are horrible. Second race which was the best of the day – there were 2 nags around the 1/1 mark and a little above – 1 1/3L. Two non eligible left and the rest are big races with no clear favourites. Au revoir for today.

I’m pretty sure my William hills account is the going to be gubbed soon…now even my £25 normal bets are being ‘referred to a trader’ which is not good in the minutes before a race…anyway I can get this back?

Oh wow, John. Start making plans for the future, either a new account or something to replace the Hi5.

Nah, unreal. Closest the fav at 3.40 got was 2.87/3.05. Disgusting from Hill and smarkets. Missed the boom in the first race because of them being c*nts and now the fav here is gonna wipe the floor with the rest. Sickening

John, have you won a large amount with them recently? If so, bet what you can and hope you lose, slowly but surely your account should recover.

On the whole this william hill offer does seem to be getting much tougher. They seem to be offering poorer value as time goes on I feel. I threw in the towel today i must admit because felt as though someone had a word in the ear of the trader after looking at first quarter profits. Think they’ll either pull this offer soon or just offer the craps odds like today. See what the flat racing brings in April

Sky, how can they offer crap odds when they have BOG?

Well I’ve made a load of horse mug bets, I be a few quid down on qualifying….trying desperately to lose the couple of hundred quid I was up….what’s the bet they all win…..

Skys best odds at one meeting per day only apply to the SP. Although they dont state that anywhere on the page, I went on live chat a few months back when I noticed a favourite priced at 4/1 at Betfred and 7/2 at Sky who claimed to be best price on all favourites at that meeting today. I was told the best price applied to the SP only. So yeah, its a complete gimmick as most bookies will have the same SP, Sky are basically just saying their SP won’t be lower than anyone elses rather than saying its better.

It’s not a gimmick really Chris, you can back early with any BOG bookie and rest easy that you will get paid at a minimum of that price and more if it has a higher starting SP.

In the past week alone I have had £250 worth of higher payouts due to BOG over 4 or 5 bets, one with Sky, one with Betway and a couple with Hills. Admittedly this is rare as my Sky and Betway were FB conversions at high odds that happened to win at a higher SP than I backed/layed at. But when it does happen it’s a nice Bruce!

With the Hill high 5 offer you can use BOG to your advantage, if you back and the lay price gets away from you, check the industry SP (or re-open your selection in your Hills betslip, if the odds increase you will get this price) if it’s higher than your back bet odds-re-calculate your lay using the adjusted odds, you can rest assure that Hills will pay out at that price should the horse win.
