Wimbledon 2017 thread

Here is a good place to discuss Wimbledon and any bets people find with the offers Matt put on. Just a little fact from last years men’s tournament.
27/127 matches went to a 5th set as a result I would say it’s around a 1/10 chance of hitting a free bet from the offer money back if your player loses in the 5th. These can be better if betting on tighter matches so my strategy is I will be going for this offer with any QL up to a pound.
The paddy power 2 up offer hit 6/127 matches last year. This probably has a similar or maybe slightly better win rate than the 2 up offer they ran last season for footy but not got the stats for them. If QL are less than 1 percent of stake then this seems worth a go for a big win.
Just some stats that show a steady income could be made over the next couple of weeks.

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

27/127 is a 1 in 5 chance.
+0oh I see what you mean. half those odds for your player to lose.
+0Fred doing bet 30 get 10, not as good as previous 75 for 25 but fairly easy £7.50 to £8
+0Sky refund you (in cash) if your player retires. Discovered this the nice way thankfully with a refund and lay both coming in.
A reminder to everyone to check the retirement rules I guess, though thankfully it worked in my favour today.
+0Trying to get my head around the retirement rules for different websites so am listing what I know here.
Bruce – Void if retires in 1st set, full pay out at any point after that.
Betmclean – Full pay out at soon as match starts.
Betfair – Void if retires in 1st set, full pay out at any point after that.
Paddy Power – Void if retires in 1st set, full pay out at any point after that.
10bet – Void if retires at any point during the match. These are the websites I am focusing around so have not looked at the others. Feel free to add them. Got a little lucky today with 10bet as got a refund on Denis Istomin despite him being 2-1 down and a break down in the 4th.
I guess with all of this though over a certain number of matches lucky/unlucky moments should even themselves out.
+0Having looked into a few websites I really feel that it is something the gambling commission should sort out. A one rule fits all approach would just make sense for all regular bettors.
+0Herewith a note of the retirement rules for the various bookies (at least the main exchanges are consistent!)

Due to retirement rules I prefer dutching tennis offers (preferably where they have the same retirement rules).
+0Do retirements happen often? I was thinking I might just run the risk.
Just made an easy £10 free bet with betsafe by the way.
A little bit of patience with my 4 qually bets and I managed to get all four down with zero loss. Looks like it can be repeated every day too.
+0Always paranoia of retirement, they can work both ways so on a random distribution of bets it’s only variance
If you’re going to compare all bookies/exchanges you can use the different rules to advantage depending on bet
E.g. a favourite you want to be voided before your lay is, an outsider voided after your lay – that way assuming a 50/50 chance of withdrawals then using different rules would be beneficial over timeSo putting variance on your side eg player a withdraws your £10 voided bet matched by £10 lay. Player b withdraws £10 voided bet matched by £1 lay
+0happyhomer the Betsafe offer is for a risk free £10 bet NOT a free bet.
+0Yes, sorry. Thanks A10 – That is what I should have said.
+0Not sure what Matt has blogged so apologies if I am repeating offers.
Mr Green bet 5X£10 get £10FB
Leo Vegas bet 5X£10 in play get £10FB
Bookee bet 5X£10 get get £10FB (weekly, not daily)
Vernons Bet 5X£5 in play get £5FB5 set refunds/double winnings (look to Dutch a refund bookie with a double winnings bookie for double bubble):-
Dabble bet, vernons, Bruce betting, Mr Green and Coral (coral may be invite only-check terms.)
+0Skybet by far the best bookie to choose for tennis. Void if retirement and still pay out if your player won the first set or more and the opponent retires.
