won big on the £250 bonus, now stuck in

  • Hi,

A little help please, after doing ok for a few weeks i signed up for one of the 250 offers and won both big bets, now i have 1500 stuck in in a 15x rollover account. Any advice, and, at this point i think i need to make a calculated loss.

    Best Regards

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

    Hi Tony,

I am pretty much in this exact same position at the moment, and I suspect with the same bookies. Both my deposit and free bet won, and wiped out 75% of my Exchange float after 2 months of work. Then I made a few desperate moves and now I have less than 100 in Smarkets and a large amount of money in the bookies.

I suspect we’ll both be forced to learn an important lesson from the scars – don’t commit to a S.U.B unless you can afford every penny of the rollover requirements. If you sign up and hope “Oh I’m sure my bet will lose and I won’t have to do the rollover that many times” then that Hope is the same as gambling, and isn’t Guaranteed, which MB is supposed to be.

I suspect by tomorrow I’ll be forced to just start punting the money I have in the bookies.

    HI,

In life i’ve learn’t the best lessons cost the most! Anyway, did you make any sense of this:

__”””Customers may cancel their participation in this promotion at any point by contacting support@***.com. In the event of a cancellation of this promotion or the promotion expires before the turnover requirements have been met, all bonus funds received will be forfeited.””””___

Just the bonus forteited? what about the funds you won with the bonus money, any idea’s?

    Thank You

Tony – Not a good option, you will lose all of the ‘winnings’ you got with the bonus bet.

You would be far better punting small amounts until you complete the rollover.

Thanks for the reply, the rollover however is 15x £500(250+250 bonus) ie £7500, that would take a good amount of small punting?

-£100 (down to ~£1400) from tonight after that Porto last minute penalty!

    Kind Regards

I get the impression from that part of T&C’s that you can cancel participation and only lose “bonus funds”…so I’d like to think the option is there to withdraw the initial deposit (if the account has money left), but cannot vouch for it yet. I also know they Do want I.D verification sent in before you can withdraw Anything.

After several panic bets which didn’t pan out (how can so many full time Prem League football teams end games without scoring a single goal on either team?!!!!) I now have about 30 quid in my exchange and 2 months worth of profits in the bookies. Time to swallow my pride, accept the loss and punt bet as much as I can

Your going to try and punt through £7500?

Any other ideas to either punt through the £7500 rollover or a method to get out any of the £1400.

    Thanks!

I won’t take anything for granted from now on, I briefly considered using credit card to pump up my Exchange again, but if bookies pulled something shifty this would be a terrible idea and just continuing a bad habit I realise.

The only way to get out your £1400 safely is to match bets until it pulls through, but I suspect like me you have no money left in your Exchange? If you had all the money in the world, you could repeatedly bet your full £1400 at odds 1.7 until it either ends up in your Exchange or you push through the £7500. The problem is if your first £1400 bet @1.7 wins then suddenly you have £2380 to gamble (and match @1.7) the next time. Also consider that you’d need to pick a market with enough liquidity in the Exchange with someone willing to match your £1400.

Lots of small bets seem safer..but they take longer, and all you need is 1 winning bet to cancel out the small winnings of the previous 2/3/4 lays

    HI,

I have enough cash to put in the exchange but now am unwilling to add any more money to this mess. I think i may just gamble/punt through the £1400 on 1.7 or so on small £20-30 bets and see if after £7500 worth of bets i have any left!

    Your plan?

    Thanks!

I don’t know what bookie your money is stuck in. But do they have any other offers?

For example with Bet365 you can make extra money (as opposed to costing you money) completing the rollover requirements by rolling your funds over on their 4/1+ offer.

7500 is a lot to rollover but betting on short odds favourites is where the value is. Just make sure your bets are counting towards the rollover and that they are above the min odds per the terms and conditions. I reckon you will lose less than 5% to the bookie so that’s 5% of 7500 = £375. So probably more than you have put in but not as bad as losing your £1400 balance…

    Good luck.

    Hi *******,
Thank you for your reply. So, my balance now is £1395.00, if i cancel the bonus what would the withdrawable balance be after cancelling the bonus. Ie, what would i be able to withdraw after the bonus has been cancelled.

    Kind Regards

I’d be intrigued to know how you get on if you try withdrawing now to minimise your losses, Tony

Edit: Especially when it contradicts the bonus’ T&C’s. Could be a new staff member who doesn’t know yet, as you know what they say about when something looks too good to be true

This is the message, if anyone can make any sense out of it:

__**You are about to delete this bonus from our system. Doing so, all fulfilled requirements will be lost, any deposit amount requirements will be taken out of your balance, the amount credited as bonus and reserved at the moment will also be lost. This action cannot be undone**__

    Ideas?

    Thanks

you will lose all your bonus funds and all funds won with the bonus funds. you maybe be left with what the original qualifying bet won, but that’s it.

personally I would accept that you have lost it, and then punt it through on the favourites at footie until you have cleared the wagering. Hopefully you will come out will something.
