won big on the £250 bonus, now stuck in

  • Hi,

A little help please, after doing ok for a few weeks i signed up for one of the 250 offers and won both big bets, now i have 1500 stuck in in a 15x rollover account. Any advice, and, at this point i think i need to make a calculated loss.

    Best Regards

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

    HI,

I’m old enough to realize it was my own fault but the fact that i can’t see it though is poor, I won the bets with them fair and square. I will take the lose and hope that i can at least stop someone else doing the same!

    Thanks!

ps, but idea’s (to retrieve anything) still are welcome.

Ok, so how much rollover do you still have to complete, and what stake restrictions do you now have?

Roughly £3500 to rollover, restriction seems to be ~£20 on premier games and £2-£3 on other football games, £0.50-£1 on horse racing, £3-£4 on tennis.

So just at the end of the rollover period, they’ve effectively stopped you from betting and completing the requirements, thus forcing you to forfeit your winnings.
Definately complain – this stinks of sharp practice, possible even a scam. At least it will give them alot of hassle. You won’t be the first they’ll have done this to.

Are you limited to £20/PL game or £20/bet on PL games?.
What about other sports other than those mentioned?.

When does your rollover have to be completed by?.

    HI,

Have rolled over ~4000 roughly ~3500 to go, have about sixty more days to complete. £20 per game at min 1.7

    Thanks!

I agree with all above. You have to complain. Bookies are a bunch of thieves and they get away with it because people are embarrassed that they got caught …

As for the rollover, 60 days gives you some time. At £20 you have to make 175 bets. That’s about 22 each week. Between weekend and midweek there should be suitable games across the big leagues and champs league etc. or is it only prem you can get 20 on?

You can still complete this, even matching bets if you want.

Is there a button like on bet365 where you can click MAX and it gives the max stake you’re allowed. Or are you only finding your max through trial and error?

I don’t think there is any smart way. Either
    1. You match bet your way through the rollover. Taking a small qualifying loss on each bet. This will take a lot of time given all the restrictions but probably still possible if you’re stubborn enough.
    2. You punt your way through on low odds for best value. Hoping the wins and losses even out to close as possible to break even. This will take no time at all. You can scan a daily coupon and click on 10 bets in as many seconds….

Either way you should unlock your 1900 minus qualifying loss or minus average punting loss.

Only trouble with what you are suggesting Fog is that they may restrict him even further nearer the cut off time and the bookie balance may be higher still. If they do this then it will definately be a scam and should give more weight to the complaint.

    HI,

    Bet-on-brazil.

As you can hopefully understand i do not wish to risk winning more with them and it be near on impossible to get out at the end of the period.

    Thanks!

I agree you have to complain about them, I would also inform them that you have made a complaint and make it clear that if they restrict you further you will complain again and get your local MP, more newspapers etc involved, the more the merrier.

Just a quick thought, have you tried betting in different markets in the same match that you can get £20 on, eg over/under or HT/FT etc? (or even on your selection again?) that would reduce the amount of big games you need….

In that case I apologise to @matt for my comment above, as I cannot see any affiliate link to them on this site.

The point about this needing to be a sticky remains though. This situation is equally as likely at any number of other bookies that ARE linked to on this site.

The Bet-on-Brazil link was there up until a few weeks ago.

I seem to recall there being a £2000 limit on winnings too, so further matched betting would probably be unwise. I think it’s unlikely this will be resolved positively, except perhaps to give a little longer to achieve the rollover, and perhaps a slight relaxation of the betting limits. I would still recommend reporting this to the CMA, even if this appears to carry no weight with the bookies themselves.

    An example:

    Aberdeen FC vs ST Johnstone

    Match Result

    Aberdeen Fc

    1.72
    Returns: £86.00
Your attempted stake exceeds the bet limit of £1.39 for this selection. Please reduce your bet stake.
