New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

That’s my understanding too guys. Pretty sure your existing bet would become risk-free.
Matched betting is all about taking advantage of bookmaker promotions. The value is in the promotions, rather than the odds.
It’s sometimes possible to make a profit without a promotion if the back odds are higher than the lay odds. This is known as ‘arbing’, but it’s bad for account health and should only be done on accounts that have been restricted.
You may have missed some of the sign up offers, but if you’ve not used your accounts a great deal, you would probably be able to do reload offers on them. There are over 50 sign up offers available too, so chances are there are a few you’re able to do.
I hope that helps.
Hi @swifty999,
I think it depends on the individual.
Bookmaker cash-out offers are usually poor. You can often lock in more profit by laying your remaining leg at a betting exchange.
To work out your lay stake, just divide the difference between your potential loss and your potential profit by the lay odds (minus your % commission).
So, say Bournemouth were odds of 1.75…
£10 (potential loss) + £165 (potential profit) = £175 (difference)
1.75 (lay odds) – 0.02 (if your commission is 2%) = 1.73
£175 ÷ 1.73 = £101.16 (lay stake)If you’re looking to cash out in future, it’s always worth just crunching the numbers to see if you can lock in more with the exchange.
I hope that helps.
I’ve not noticed that myself Richard or heard of any issues.
It’s perhaps something to query with them if it keeps happening for you.

You’re not missing anything @arbs, you’re correct in what you’re saying.
There isn’t a great deal between the two offers but I like to include both as everyone is different. The regular sign up offer may appeal to those looking to lock in guaranteed profits, whereas the odds boost offers may appeal to those who prefer the advantage play approach. If someone fancies Chelsea to beat Man City, they can take the 50/1 odds and they’re only risking £1.
Yes, unfortunately, it sounds like you’ve been stake restricted @swifty999. Stake restrictions are usually permanent so it’s best to withdraw your funds and look for other opportunities. There are plenty of them.
Extra place offers and 2UPs are definitely worth a further look. Focus on the busier race days and festivals and the top football leagues as that will help you minimise your qualifying losses.
There’s certainly money to be made doing casino offers but there’s a lot of variance involved which means you can incur losses in the short term. I don’t think it’s uncommon to feel nervous about moving on to casino offers from matched betting, but it’s not for everyone. Only you can decide if it’s something you want to try. You could always start with the low-risk offers and see how you go.
I hope that helps.
When using any matched betting forums, you should always use an alias that doesn’t match any of your bookmaker account usernames. If you do that, you’re fine.
Thanks for flagging that one @jobutno.
It’s available on all five Tests of the series so I’ll make sure I add those added to the Reload Offers Calendar.
