New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Hi @fei-yu,
I would take a look at extra place offers, early payout offers and back a winner offers.
If you’ve exhausted the sign up offers, take a look at Step 6 of my Matched Betting Academy for guidance on what to tackle next.
I hope that helps.
Hi @hedgepig,
I’m pleased to hear you’ve successfully withdrawn your funds.
Yes, I can see the benefit of such a thread, or even a blog post article with the regular comments section. I’ll consider adding that at some point.
Thanks.
Offers like that are only worth doing from an advantage gambling viewpoint (i.e. not laying).
From a matched betting perspective, I would always leave any offers that have a low maximum conversion as it’s easy to lose money if your bookmaker bets keep winning.
I hope that helps.
Hi @hedgepig,
Sorry to hear you’re having difficulty getting your funds back.
Have you provided the bank statements that they’ve requested? I’m not overly familiar with Trustly, though I know Smarkets accept Trustly as a deposit/withdrawal method. I could be wrong but I don’t think there are any fees involved.
With regards to the Novibet withdrawal process, it seems you have until 23rd May 2022 to withdraw funds from your account in the normal way. After that, accounts will be closed permanently. You would then have until 21st February 2023 to contact their Customer Services team to ask for a return of your funds via an alternative method.
After 21st February 2023, any remaining funds will be donated to GambleAware.
If you’re not getting anywhere with Novibet directly, you can still raise a complaint through the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS).
I hope that helps.
Hi @fei-yu.
No, you’ve not missed them. I haven’t actually covered casinos on MBB so far.
I’ve always focused on the matched betting side of things, though it may be something I look to include further down the line.
In the meantime, OddsMonkey have a lot of helpful information on casinos and available offers.
I hope that helps.
Hi John,
Yes, the exchange markets are a more accurate representation of odds than you’ll see at the bookmaker. The bookmakers need to factor in their profit margins, so the odds are usually shorter with the bookmakers.
I would say it’s entirely up to you whether you underlay, overlay or opt for the standard lay. Most people prefer the standard lay to lock in as much profit as possible from a free bet. There’s nothing wrong with tweaking your lay stake, though, if you feel an event will go a particular way.
You can use the slider on the Matched Betting Calculator to see how different lay stakes affect your overall profit.
I hope that helps.
Have you tried registering an account with Smarkets?
As far as I can see, the Netherlands isn’t on their list of restricted countries.
2.2 Persons who are residents of; or persons who are located in countries where betting with Smarkets is prohibited (including, but not necessarily limited to Australia, France, Hong Kong, Switzerland, China, South Africa, Denmark, Czech Republic, Belgium, Turkey, the United States, Italy, Portugal, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan); cannot register as account holders with Smarkets. United States residents cannot register an account with Smarkets, even if they are located in another jurisdiction. Smarkets may refuse access to its services from any particular jurisdiction at any time.

No, I don’t think are any special rules to be aware of with darts. You should be fine.
Thanks Richard.
I’ve passed the info on to OddsMonkey, so hopefully it will be resolved soon.
I’m not seeing any issues myself, Richard.
If you wouldn’t mind sending a screenshot to matt@matchedbettingblog.com, that would be great and I can look into things.
Can I also ask which browser and operating system you are using?
Thanks in advance.
It sounds like it’s not really an offer that is suitable for matched betting. You could treat as advantage play or look for another opportunity elsewhere.
Unfortunately not Steve, if the Rule 4 adjustment lowers the odds below the 4/1 threshold…
9. The 4/1 limit refers to the adjusted odds after any dead-heat, Rule 4 or unnamed joint/co-favourite.
You just need to remember to enter your Betfair commission rate in the ‘Back commission’ field.
