My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

You could try a sliding scale, though it would probably also help to mix things up a bit. If you’re just hitting extra place races and 2UP football matches, that may draw unwanted attention.

I think many people stick at around the £50 mark, but there are no guarantees where gubbings are concerned.

An important thing with stake sizes is not increasing them too quickly as the bookmaker may consider you a problem gambler and restrict your account. Instead, try and build your stakes up in increments over a period of time.

    I hope that helps.

You should still be able to take advantage of extra places.

If you can place an each way bet on an extra place race, you should be paid out at the stated terms as usual.

There’s no surefire way of ‘losing’ money from a bookmaker account to an exchange account, so be careful not to make your situation worse.

On what grounds are they holding your money?

Depending on the circumstances, I would recommend raising a dispute with IBAS.

    Hi @bettingbitz,

It seems bookmakers are advised to retain customer data for a minimum of 5 years after the relationship has ended. This allows them to comply with regulations and provide the data to the Gambling Commission if requested.

The following page should help clarify things for you.

    https://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/licensees-and-businesses/guide/gambling-regulation-and-the-general-data-protection-regulation-gdpr#retention-of-data

    I hope that helps.

    Yes exactly, @weedavy.

You just need to check the offers that are available to you and work out what type of offer they are. Then you can just follow the steps in my respective guides.

If there’s anything you’re unsure about, feel free to give me a shout.

    Hi @weedavy,

I’m unaware of any subscription-based sites catering for EU matched bettors.

I’m not sure what offers you have available in Austria, but if they’re profitable, definitely give it a go.

Feel free to check out my guides section for walkthroughs on most types of offers. If the offers are similar, you may also find the sign up offer guides in my Matched Betting Academy helpful.

    I hope that helps.

Just to ease your concerns on the links. All bookmaker links on MBB are cloaked to prevent bookmakers from identifying the source of traffic.

That said, you’re still welcome to visit the bookmakers direct. I simply include the links to save you guys time looking for the offers.

    I hope that helps.

I’m not aware of any changes Karen. The tokens should be added to your account by 12:00pm each day.

    Hi there,

No need to feel silly. It’s always best to ask if you’re unsure about something.

If you have a £10 bonus and the terms say it needs to be wagered three times, it just means you need to place £30 worth of bets before the bonus is converted into withdrawable cash.

Please see my bonus rollover guide for a walkthrough on converting bonuses into cash.

If the terms state your bets must have a minimum of two selections, you need to place a ‘multiple’ bet. So, for example, instead of betting on just Liverpool to win, you might bet on Liverpool and Man City to both win. Simply add each selection to your bet slip and select the ‘double’ option.

Please see my laying multiples guide for a walkthrough on laying multiples.

    I hope that helps.

    Hi @gabby0671,

Here’s the guide for that particular offer…

    https://matchedbettingblog.com/football/888sport-newcastle-v-liverpool-offer/

The strategy for these Bet Builder offers is to build a combination that you can lay in one bet at the exchange.

So, for this 888sport offer, you select ‘Draw‘ and ‘Under 2.5 goals‘ when building your bet at 888sport. You can then lay that bet in Betfair’s ‘Match Odds and Over/Under 2.5 Goals‘ market. ‘Draw/Under 2.5 Goals‘ would be the selection you’re looking for.

Please see my Bet Builders guide for more information about them and possible selections.

I hope that helps for future offers.

Thanks for the heads up on that @woody2280. I’ve added a warning to my 888sport sign up offer guide.

If you haven’t already, take a look at my Matched Betting Academy for a walkthrough of all the available sign up offers.

You’ll also find some handy tips on my ‘Matt’s Top Tips for Matched Betting Newbies‘ page.

    I hope that helps.

    Hi @macat,

You’ve wagered your £10.00 bonus once so far, so you need to wager it twice more. That means wagering £20.00 of your bonus funds on combi bets with 2+ selections. Each individual selection must have minimum odds of 1.25 (1/4), and the minimum combined odds must be 2.00 (evens).

You can use the ‘Free Bet – Stake returned‘ setting on my Matched Betting Calculator to calculate your lay stake.

    I hope that helps.

I’m not sure which bookmakers have welcome offers for Dutch customers, Claas. You would need to read the terms of each offer to check your eligibility.
