With the spate of recent gubbings I wonder if anyone is using VPN to mask their IP address?
I have had a few gubbings recently and am considering creating some ‘new’ accounts. I am fine with different names, bank accounts and addresses but was wondering about my IP address and was wondering weather anyone had used VPN.
I know some people just use a cheap mobile to get round this but I would rather do this in the comfort of my own home!

Was he racking up debts on those stolen identities or just using them profit from matched betting? I don’t see anything to suggest he was defrauding anyone but the bookies.
Aye, creating fake IDs is pushing it a bit but when investigating I can’t imagine the bookie would care to distinguish between that and just using multiple identities of friends/relatives to abuse bonus offers.
On the technical side, if you weren’t sloppy it would be nearly impossible to prove without confiscating your computer.
I stumbled across this article on Facebook the other day about matched betting using a vpn and multiple accounts, not sure how accurate this is though?
To me, the advice in that guide is poor.
It talks of the need to have a different IP address only to suggest (via an affiliate link) a vpn service that would inevitably be shared with many other people doing the same thing.
To “clear private data after every session” ignores the potential for browser fingerprinting. See – https://panopticlick.eff.org/, “Your browser fingerprint appears to be unique among the 137,465 tested so far.”
My recommendation is to avoid using a VPN when matched betting, even if you use one for your everyday online activity.
