Bad EW Races NO CHAT

  • Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I hardly do these now for time reasons (ydays was a case of not knocking a gift horse as it was just sat waving at me when I looked 15 mins out)
But the last ones I’d done I was looking more at the 16 runners. There’s quite a few differences, main 2 in my head are there seem to be less bigger quick wins but I have the perception it’s easier to blend in so may not attract stake restrictions so quick (although that horse has already largely bolted for a lot of us)

Well I’m usually all over 16 runner handicap races but yeah stay well away from the Irish ones.

    First two at Taunton today…..

Not found anything in the first yet. Got some small bets on The Pooler at 33s and 25s in the 12.50. Snapdragon Fire is still 25/1 at sporting bet too.

2.30 Musselburgh offers some value also.

Also on Snapdragon 26/25 and The Pooler 26/26 in the second. Jeez that was too easy.

in these particular races for example are you guys laying the win part straight away or do you wait and gamble on the win lay coming in.

Yep. I’m on Ballycrystal court 25/1 (tempted to add more at 22/1) and Judge Earl 14/1 in that.

    Hey Chris,

I see that the lay odds for tikken away is 55 and lay odds for the place part is 4.3. So do you lay the win part at these odds or wait for it come down?

It was at Lads for a good 5 minutes after Chris posted. Still at sporting bet according to oddschecker?

You really need to read the guide but generally back when the lay odds on the win when are acceptable, lay the place close to the off.

Xeno, alot of mine are on restricted accounts so a good few are under £10 ew and i’ll just let all bets run (not advice i’m recommending). But i’ll always look to make sure the win could be laid at least in part around the price i’m taking. If laying the win i’ll try lay early rather than gamble on a price coming in. Unless the place arb is so big you can risk extra losses on the win, knowing the place arb will more than offset it.
