gdpr doesn’t override business needs

the gambling commission already said right to forget won’t apply because of problem gambling
entirely bo11ocks as if I’m not a problem gambler why do they have a business need to keep my info? But we know the gambling commission don’t want to prevent bookies closing down winners…. so no quick win im afraid guys

although gives us the right to request info without payment like with freedom information act (I think) so gives us the power to be a nuisance.

Yes Mr. Crispy, if we had evidence that all that had previously had an account were denied/gubbed/restricted instantly a breach of the law could be filed against them. The penalty for EACH individual breach is 20 million Euros!

Edit: Probably up to 20 million!!!

So they should be allowed to keep on file those that have self excluded but not those that haven’t! I can feel a battle with the gambling commission coming on.

But they have a business reason for keeping our details too. We are bad for their business. I think it’s worth trying for fun though. Some may not be have a proper process in place yet for GDPR and might panic a bit and delete your account for you.

What I don’t like is the idea that I am on a blacklist somewhere, like a list of cheaters or something. Doesn’t sit good with me.

I hope that I am classed as “too smart” and not “cheater” or “multi accounter” on their lists…. but the way the industry seems to see us as pests I’m sure the label that they have applied to me doesn’t paint me in the best light. Something like “parasite” is more than likely.

Got a few in that 2.05, Flowery shortened nicely but Internal gone the opposite way. Just added Southerner at 100/1 laying just under.

Not much liquidity still and only an hour to the race. My Causey is drifting back out again. He opened at bookie at 2.62 so thought market was regressing back towards that when he came at 5.1 but drifted again. If he is a terminal drifter I could be in trouble.

Regarding GDPR, I received an e mail from Betsafe regarding the subject on an un-gubbed account, I have yet to receive the same e mail for a gubbed account!
