Bad EW Races NO CHAT
-
Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I totally see where your coming from beesty. Maybe you’re right, maybe you’re a bit paranoid.
My opinion is that ew arbing has probably been around as long as betfair started offering a place market, so probably decades. I don’t think it’s going anywhere. And betting restrictions have been around even longer! So it’s not because of forums like this that ppl are getting restricted. It’s just always been the way.
I don’t think ew terms will change as in general they are very good in the bookie favour except for the odd race.
I’m often surprised how many ppl are lurking on the forums but still don’t think our numbers are major enough to influence betting markets or odds. Sometimes odds just drift, maybe the horse didn’t look good in the parade. Doesn’t have to be because of some post on a forum.
Also I’ve made a few pound today that I probably wouldn’t had Mr Crispy and Chris not started posting. So Im thankful for those posts today at least. And never forgetting beesty’s original thread! Thanks.
Finally there will come a time when I advance to trading the places on bad ew races. And at that point the more ppl laying off their back bets and pushing up the price, then the easier to back high on the exchange. So at that point I’ll be actively encouraging ppl into backing and laying their bad ew races!
+0All very interesting and the 1/6, 1/7 and 1/8 argument comes from only the bad ew ones. But to combat that as an example it may mean the win part would inflate as well.
At the end of the day everyone who has posted tonight are all people I do highly respect and have somewhere along the line with many others have made me a few quid on the way.
Go ahead with however you want to go in terms of looking after yourself and others on here. It would just be nice in a way if we could help each other slightly more outside of the public domain. Maybe some sort of double log in encrypted page could work and Matt hand picks a certain core of users who he feels have been a benefit to this site and community.
Everything else could be left the same. Just an idea
+0I appreciate that you’re trying to earn a living doing this Beesty whereas for me (and most people I imagine) it’s just a nice way of earning a little extra money.
I’m not sure whether this thread will make any difference to anything the bookies do but who knows…
I can certainly believe that with more niche things, like Betfair Edge, once it gets out into the public domain it becomes much less lucrative. But I’m grateful that it got out into the public domain because if it hadn’t I’d still be in blissful ignorance of it right now and, wouldn’t have made a decent amount from it.
Having said that, I think having a designated section in the forum that can only be read/contributed to by members once they meet a certain criteria* would be useful.
Interesting about Mobile-bet Supert, will check that out. The information page on their site is down so I haven’t been able to check but, I presume the 100% cashout facility is a one off perk when you join?
* providing I meet the criteria!
+0What are the thoughts on 1810 and 1940 Yarmouth ? Both have 9 runners. 1930 Newton Abbot looked good but only 8 runners.
+0I understand your frustration Beest also noticed the stakes on ew races have started being restricted a lot more. After making your method public it was always going to happen but I agree things are being made too easy, people don’t need to put the work in anymore. Bookies probably know about a lot but don’t take notice until it’s affecting their profits, its like having a edge in trading – once everyone knows about it everyone does it which kills the value.
Good shout Chrisp, no questions on things that have guides, no people wanting their hands held through every decision they make. We’d all be making a lot more doh, make it happen please Matt mate *providing I meet the criteria haha
I noticed that the other day but thought it was a one off, please tell me we’ve got risk free trades ?
+0If people are generous/stupid (take your pick) enough to make their ‘edges’ public then i’m not sure they can expect people not to discuss them..
I don’t really have a problem with people lurking, i’m a lurker on twitter. Whether it be for info on Fantasy football or weather opinions from shrewdies for ‘Completed match’ betting purposes on Cricket. If people are happy to discuss their info/knowledge publicly then you’re silly not to take advantage of it.
I do agree with the spoon feeding points though about people asking the same questions over again when guides have been provided.
+0Get regular offer updates, tip and tricks, big offer alerts and more straight to your inbox.
But there are loads of public forums out there and on social media so if you hush this one then you need to hush the others too if you truly believe that there is a link between discussions on here and accounts being restricted/gubbed which I still think is ridiculous.
If a bookie looks at your betting activity and sees you going ew in the same type of races (what we call bad ew races) on 20/1 horses then you’re getting restricted regardless of whether you got your info from the public domain.
Seriously, its a silly concept.
+0I agree with Chris on this. Bookies know all about bad E/W races as they were a problem for bookies long before there was ever such a thing as an exchange to lay at, simply because they provide excellent value bets in themselves. Bookies don’t need to inflitrate and trawl through all the betting forums to see what the evil matched bettors will do next, they know that the horses in a bad race will draw attention and just keep an eye on the account if they want to. After all, “bad E/W race” is a bookie term, its bad FOR THEM, not us!
+017:15 Kempton throwing some nice arbs.
188 offering 1/4 odds
Boyle and BetStars offering MB 2nd to SP, perfect for this race+0I completely agree but I think his point is the information is too exact to be posted publicly. I don’t need to understand ew races yet I can make a shit load by reading this thread because people are posting exact bets. Its feeding the free loaders and just shooting yourself in the foot.
I don’t think bookies gub, change offers or their markets by searching forums but they for sure change them based on profit and loss
+0Cheers Enigma..that was a good one, the odds jumped around plenty on the favourites.
Paddy Power denied me a nice arb on the winner (by changing their odds faster than I could get my bet on – does anyone else get that annoying thing where they make you confirm your bet but you have to maximise that screen before you can click the “ok” button? It is very annoying and fiddly).
+0It’s to give them time to search this forum first crispy ;-)
The worst I find are sites that take you back to home screen after a deposit.Seriously though if there’s a race/horse we would probably all pick out, but less than £200 is matched in total on that horse on a window then we’re already scrambling against each other as it is without getting loads more people on.
But swings and roundabouts, you could argue trading the win becomes profitable if the desperation to lay becomes too ridiculous+0Mr Crispy I used to have that problem with PP, if you look at the bet slip click ‘pop back’ at the bottom and it will become a part of the standard page. Makes it a lot easier to bet quickly
+0Here’s an interesting one, or at least something I havent seen before
The 15:35 tomorrow is 7 runners but PP and WHilll are offering 1/5 top 3. Both are throwing up some big place arbs. Normally when the bookies offer an extra place at reduced odds they kill all value, but here they’re throwing some our way
My Dream Boat is a crazy 67 at PP laying 65 win and 8.6 on the 3 TBP market.
Decorated Knight 21 / 24 and 4.5, presuming it will fallIs there anything beside risk of NR that could mess this up?
EDIT: if anyone finds other bookies offering 1/5 top 3 please shout
+0Liking that, good spot. Assuming it’s not a mistakes at paddys. I can’t see them advertising the extra place?
Seen Hills advertising. Although can’t find any terms regarding NRs.
