Bad EW Races NO CHAT

  • Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

    The 7.25 was surprisingly good.

I’m definitely sold on the underlay, it’s always nice to be cheering on the horse that you’ve (matched) bet on too.. There is nothing as unsatisfying as winning £2k at a bookie and finding out that your net profit is only £6 because you’ve taken the guaranteed amount…

Arbs, drifters and right donkeys today.

ps usually underlay – a big win always feels better than lots of little gtd ones, even though it may not be quite so profitable. Depends on the odds and the other horses really.

Underlaying is more profitable in the long run. Just depends how much variance you can take, and how much you choose to lay

Do you have any experience with the markets for Irish racing, looking at the 1925 clonmel, just don’t know how the liquidity is with it?

    It came 6th!

I started looking v late, were a couple ridiculous swings on the exchange where if I’d got more tabs open I’d probably got some huge arbs before odds dropped

Ended up deploying a different tactic when everything drifted on the exchange 2 mins out. Traded anakar on the win market to give myself a free shot at 45, which obviously didn’t come in

Being an Irish race with 8 runners I think I’d focused on trading the place market if I’d had time…. Well learning still – not got vast experience at that yet

Were there some nice ew arbs on the two favourites?
Unfortunately real life got in the way for me and I had to go out…
That race looked perfect (in theory) for backing the favourites ew!

There was arbs on the first four in the betting I got on anakar 21/21 and 5/2.2. Didn’t take full advantage only had the one on stupidly enough. Still getting used to it, trying to learn how the market moves is difficult.

I’ve been doing this for a little while and I have absolutely no idea which way the market is going to move… but I can still do ok!

If you get to a stage when you can consistently read the market then you can probably give up the day job!

There was a bad ew 5 runner race today where the favourite fell. The third favourite tried to go the wrong way and chucked the jockey off. The 2nd fav. won by 60+ lengths leaving two big outsiders 2nd and 3rd.

I’m about £2.5k down on the exchange today…. keep hitting big priced winners doing extra place offers.

Even getting 1st and 2nd in the last…. gubbing stick coming I think.

4.50 Curragh a thing of beauty for anyone with a clean 365.

Still value at 1/5 elsewhere mind.
