Bad EW Races NO CHAT
-
Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Had heartache second to SP fav on 2 sights too :/
+0I think that’s his point.
May Girl and Havana grey steamed in at books but only tiny drift on Heartache.
Spoof was worst in that race anyway 28/1 Sp compared to 140 on exchange.
+0Yeah, must been dizzy with my winnings with that answer!
These types races are usually the worse. Yet the bookies moan the eway odds are so unfair for them, as my each way arb eat onto their 25%+ Overround
+0Took the week off but placed a few bets today on 2 Clear. Typically most of them won but not by the 2 lengths.
Hope we see some bad ew races tomorrow at least. Jump season just around the corner.
+0Are we expecting High 5 back?
+0Yes definitely but likely down to 15% winnings free bet and no money back for second place either.

Completely forgot about the second place money back. I’m predicting that stays but defo 15% as u say
+0hi, sorry for long post. i often visit this thread to try and gain some insight into how people generally approach ‘Bad’ EW Races.
I’ve thought about posting the Bad EW Races on this thread each night to help out, as i go though the card anyway, but didnt think this would add much value as these types of races are generally easy to spot – Short priced Fav – preferably odds on – with 2-3 runners more than would cause a drop in the places paid.
My problem is which horses to pick? i understand this is probably more an art than a science as anyone with a magic formula to work out which horses would shorten wouldnt bother with this and would be on the exchange.
With groups/people like MatchedBetting Plus on twitter seemingly doing really well with this sort of stuff i just wondered if anyone would be willing to share what they look for when choosing their runners? EG the race the other day with Biddy Braddy (or whatever it was called) seemed pretty straight-forward as the front three in that market were priced much shorter (in comparison) to the rest, but unfortunately it isn’t always that straight forward!
+0Feel free to post races, quite often real life gets in the way and I don’t even think about it checking them, so having a reminder on here is great.
I (almost) always underlay the win and the place immediately.
So I’m only looking for horses where you can instantly lay for a risk free shot at a profit. Even if you do lay the place later, you’d still want to be able lay them immediately for a profit (even though you are waiting to lay the place).
+0Skybet are paying 5 places in the 2.15 at Bath if there are 14 or more runners (there are 15 atm)..
Favourite is 3.95.
There will (probably) be some value there at 2ish… Another non-runner between now and 2pm would make it too risky though (in my opinion).
+0Possible races for today
Carlisle 13:45
Worcester 14:00 , 15:00* , 16:05* , 17:05
Galway 14:25** , 14:55 , 17:00**8 Runners
** Shorted-priced fav of the day at 1.62+0The 15:00 and 16:05 are good, but wont be touching them till an hour or so before the off
+0Wouldnt say any of those races are bad ew which is a term being used very loosely here lately.
Ok so you may a bit of value in ew back and lay later on the in the day but its a gamble.
+0The 15.00 is high risk as 8 runners but also the value i.e odds for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th favourites are not good (highest is 8/1)
Same goes for the 16.05, too risky for not much value.
+0Agree with Chris…people seem to have to have a bad ew race each day so just gamble on one with no value
Why did the gambling farmer get rid of the chicken? Because he kept forgetting to lay
