Bad EW Races NO CHAT

  • Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

1945 at Chelmsford looks okay. I took a bit of Yogiyogiyogi at 13/12.5 earlier. It’s was a decent arb on the place, but drifted out a bit now, still good not as good.

Anyway, just rolling over some stakes on betstars with bad ew bets on champions challenge to hit the silver bet!

Good shout fog, that’s the winning bet part of the challenge covered too

Didn’t get as good odds as you but caught a perfect match still on the win part as it steamed in. Worked fine for betstars but didn’t seem to impact my sportnation rollover requirements. Although they seem to have gone proper Mickey mouse with their t&c

Sportnation rollover can take a while to show up, betman. I did a load of horses in the week and it took about an hour after settling to show.

Ok thanks, I did a horse earlier and came up straight away but hopefully this ones just the lag
Theyre pissing me off a bit – matched bet turns into 7 times rollover, then they ring me up offering me 5 times rollover!

    Downpatrick 1345 and 1450

Newton Abbott 1505. I will be interested to see the 1505 ew prices w/o favourite too on bet365.

Thanks for the tip FOG. Got on Amarillo Rose in the 13.45 and June Carter in the 14.50. Find anything in the 15.05?

For the 15:05 you might have to take a big loss on the win part. But if you look at Georgina Joy on Bet365 at the moment is 50/1 = 11.0 for place. Trading on exchange to place at 4.8.

Anyone with an appetite for 8 runner races, the 14:25 Kempton and 17:00 roscommon are both throwing up massive place arbs

Do people typically avoid these full stop, or at least until the last 30 minutes or so?

E.g. Epic Ethel in the 17:00, 17 / 18 B365 laying 2.88 3tbp. But even if one of the 100/1 shots withdrew, you could lay the 2tbp at 5.5 which is a fairly small loss of £1.50 per £10 EW.

Seems like the only big risk is laying 3tbp and then a horse withdraws in the minutes before the race

Or is this where placing small value bets and only laying the win is the best strategy?

The 17:30 has a small arb on Chesterfield King at most bookies too, Boyle MB 2nd to SP for more value

Enigma, lay your win bet leave your place bet ’til the last minute and use the 2tbp at Betfair if need be, you can get stung though-their was one famous race that was a washout (York?) where a few of us lost a bit.

Great spot on the 17:30, if ever a horse was going to come 2nd to the sp……

Harbour Nights is a nice ew Edge (reduce to 2 places) option on the 14:25

17 on Betfair SB, which enhances to 26.

Was laying at 18 (win) and 5.2 (2 place market)
