Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

That race stunk🙃 hope stratergies worked there enigma.. 4s and 9s on 2/3 in the betting 645👍
+0Ain’t see a wd in an 8 runner for ages…but they will come
+0This 700 EPR not really shaped up- prob needed 2 nrs – only managed to Catch Gregorian Girl at 14/1 when it was a win match- so one more pop for the road👍
Any bother with it?+0Great, I finally found a race that was worth monitoring but I had to go out. Meantime it sounds like it was a hell of a race!
Good point re the risk of a NR and then Kane coming 3rd, that’s why I’m still just watching with interest rather than taking any bets
+01/2 pt win arb I Gregoria s at 50 ew and €5 worth of underlay on win sees off a hectic/good session there-
Till tomorrow👍+0In case any thinks I’m more loony than I am I was chucking in a lot of Big Daddy Kane (former legendary old Skool rapper) references in amongst texts about the 630👎🏻

Scab we know you’re loony dont worry
Ally just go in with small stakes ASAP – you’ll learn quickly from getting involved
That Early Riser steam was pretty strange. Went from 11/1 to 3/1 in what, 120 seconds? Really makes me question the whole integrity of horse racing, presumably a lot of people knew he was good value and waited as late as possible to bet on it, what other information could have appeared 10 mins before the race?
+0Seems a good strategy Ali.. monitor it for a while on paper… be horrible if u dived in and lost lost a chunk of something like a 3rd place when only 7 go off.. there are sometimes obvious races to have a dabble with at least if runners over the minimum…
That 630 was the maddest price changes on the exchange I’ve ever seen.. when I backed early riser at 6s it had just plummeted from 8.0 to 2.90 on the exchange..then it went back out to more than 8.0 10 mins later!+0Yeah very strange Enigma…then he ran like a donkey…oh and thanks for the loony confirmation😁👍 Once the racing stops (after about half hour simmering down) I stop being The Scab and go back to being a bit of a sensible bore… I guess in a simalar way to characters like Bat/Superman and Hong kong phooey who revert back to their dull alter egos after the action stops🙃
+0When ones hustling around betting shops talking bs all day pretending to be a wild mug punter who follows horse racing one has take on an alter ego
Not just the staff but also the regular punters who are always giving out tips and talking form and I have to make conservations when I barely know the names of more than a handful of jockeys/trainers😁+0Oh and Big Arb Tone having finally read all of your celebration post…lovley juvley👍 Yes please do mention your arbs/value fancy’s- some days I don’t have time to catch all the good stuff…and yes I’m starting more n more to have a quick glimpse of recent form on marginal value long price horses in bad eways /EPRs as I think it helps make choices with a view that form suggests in could come in/more likely than plummet(esp good for late layers like myself) 👍
Today was a nice mix of small value races- hopefully tomorrow is decent🤞🏻👍+0Wow just saw u had 100-1 in that race Enigma- my record is 2 at 66/1 so hats off…must have been a nice prof👍
+0This thread has had more comebacks than Lazarus…good to see its livening up a bit…don’t be shy posting up value shots before the races/show prices👍
+0Don’t be like old bbob who used to wait till he got his lays off (about 1 min before off) before posting up value (long gone)😬
+0I took a small £5 ew bet on the 730 and locked in a whole £1 :D
Is it too early to break out the cigars?! lol
I just wanted a feel for the speed of it all really. I’m a long way away from doing anything big
One more question (sorry), when you talk about underlaying are you using an each way calculator with a slider that you can play about with your win/place stakes to see the impact or are you just using your experience to work out how much to underlay?
I’ve been dabbling with figures but it takes me ages as I have to use 2 separate calculators and by the time I’m done the odds will have moved again
