Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

What price was /did u get on Quick Recap?
Be tempting to let the place run looking at the state of the 5 rags- could still end up a 2 place arb- esp if u got 4/1+
+0Got 6.5 on Quick Recap, had 8.5 on Pay Check which was ever better 😪 . Not big stakes so may just let the place run when I work out the rule 4 to lay the win

Oh right thats a nice price- but im assuming then from your post one/two of the wds must have been a decent price-/significent enough- thought they were other rags.
Knew there wasnt a great deal if value in todays early races- so was late out of the traps.Hard graft finding other value out there atm- still working on the 210 EPR- but that looks like at best a marginal value shot or two
Could do with a nr or two in sone of the evening EPRs , to bring them in to better range
+0Yeah a couple of rule 4s to work out in the 17.55, so will prob let the place run.
Not much doing today. Got a shot on Percy Thrower in the 2.10 for an extra place, but the QL was bigger than I like.

I tried the old no laying for a few months a while back…it is better in the long run..but with lots of ‘bets’ at decent stakes it can do you in with heavy loss days that take a lot of motivation to keep on grinding when it a slump.
Some kind of laying at lowest poss commisions rates is prob the best thing to keep the energy/focus maintained to keep pushing on at all times🤔
+0Toyed with the idea of not laying, often don’t lay the place. Not sure I could stand a heavy run of looses though. Might be something for when all accounts get restricted.

Cheers. Was staring at everything just before show price and was very little late value. Caught that one at 11/2 when it went 6.4 on the winabout 1.85 on the 4 places for small value- then it was out to 7.2 when i got back to my seat🙃 so took the lay win/3 place straight away. And it drifted out a bit more- makes up me nap under performing- had only managed some at 16s myself
I was up n down like a yo yo when not laying anything a while back..up €1000s some days and over exited..then a bit depressed (to say the least( when €1000+ loss days start rolling in like buses..wasnt good for me equilibreum🙃

And much as I knew- long term wise- i was profiting more with the no lays stratergy I was deffo underperforming when in a slump and un motivated to go out on quite race days..so for me was losing out in the long term not laying..need a robot mind to do it i think
+0I just started (2 days ago) not laying the place. Not sure I could hack not laying at all, esp. because you arent so pressed to get a close win match so you might bet a bit more loosely and sacrifice some value
+0I think i’d struggle with the mental side of not laying everything, it would cloud my judgment thinking I had to find a winner. Reckon you’d need to have a rigid policy an iron will!

Surely not laying anything is gambling? I guess you are manipulating the price trying to get something to steam in. I completely get not laying the place. The maths make it the best option but you will need to be consistent and take EV on every horse possible. MB terms underlaying win and place just has to be the right choice, we’re here to beat the bookies and being risk free is the priority for most.
