Bad EW Races NO CHAT

  • Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Had Corgi and Regular Income in that 2pm race. The former drifted quite badly whilst the other came steaming in. Even though Regular Income came third I lost a big chunk on Corgi so think I only made £11 in the end.

Not usually a race I would go for on paper, those of us who made money got lucky because the 2nd and 3rd favs both flopped badly, doesn’t happen often.

yes I wondered about regular income, the lay flew out but stayed solidly at 6s (I think) at the bookies. odd race.

anyway, was just pointing out variance. Hopefully it’ll swing back my way soon.

@RyanB – thanks for reminding me about the extra place/each way matcher at oddsmonkey. I don’t normally use it but had a quick look this evening, found a couple of decent matches at Kempton and came out £50 up when Artful Rogue came 4th. Nice one.

The oddsmonkey each way extra place matcher makes finding and calculating a 4th pretty easy. I had 2 4th places today, £10 ew stakes. On a couple of races I just laid off the win part as they were more or less 2 horse races plus 10 donkeys, that worked out ok, 1st and 2nd places.

    14.45 Warwick
    14.25 Lingfield

    Both reasonable (imo).

2.40 at Tranmore is quite interesting…. Extra place at Coral/Lads and Fred with a 1.91 fav which is unusual for a handicap.

2.45 Warwick is definitely not bad ew.

2.25 Lingfield looks very promising, be good if there were a couple or more non-runners though.

Masked Defender is the one in that 2.25 race.

Anyone who can get Conversant at Betfair now (19.0) should too. I can’t get more than £6 ew right now so not worth my time.

Gone with Fannan instead, 21.0 at William Hill who let me have 50 ew.

Bit nervous about the exposure here, had bad luck all week with drifters and again, this isnt a race that I would typically go for but I am bored and this week has been quiet.

    Chris – The 2.45 Warwick.

Perhaps I was lucky when I was looking, Jubulani could be backed at 7 and laid on the betfair exchange each way market at 6. Silver Kayf could be backed at 3 and laid on the betfair exchange ew market for 2.7.. Neither were arbs on the win at that time (although Silver Kayf was close).

We’re looking for different things though. I want a race which I can look at in the 20 minutes before the off, back and underlay instantly for a (theoretically) risk free shot, ideally with two short favourites so I can bet ew on both of them..

Yea Bbob looks good, but nothing available to lay yet.

Fog, excellent explanation the other day btw.

Lingfeld is Hills 2 clear today but the 14:25 is only 7 furlongs so probably won’t hit.

2.25 also a 2 Clear race so a decent bet on the Fav near the off at a close match should cut down on any commision.
