Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

Brillant/cyrptic post Tony👍 Up there in your top 10 or so
+0Should give up on the cryptic stuff, doesn’t really help…
Looks like we pulled an extra week but that’s it. Wonder what we can talk about. Maybe new strategies? Scabba i remember you saying once about laying off outsider and backing the massive favourite?
+0No worries Tony👍 Just saw your post..and at first thought it was just a jolly goodnight..see u tomorrow type post..10 minutes later- through looking through some news bits n bobs- I realised what the post meant🙃
Was’nt many good money making ops on the Irish stuff- less so for me with only limited online accounts atm- but was happy to have the challenge/goals of trying to still find value/arbs from them..although the naps I did find/post didnt get in the frames..was happy with the good value of them in general..my form anaylising has got a lot deeper and better😀
+0I have researched some laying stratergies Tony- that I want to try out full time this year…But dont remember saying they involved laying outsiders/and backing favourites..just laying horses my studies indicate are under priced…
Data testing suggested a profit range in the magic 10-20% range.. a very high target R.O.I in any form of trading/poker/Arbing/following sports/racing tipsters..as I have learmt over many years of either participating in or following any of these fields..so will certainly be trying this new idea out soon – and taking time out from cold/rainy sharbing🙃 Even a 5-10% R.O.I figure would be great providing the indicators produce enough weekly entry points🤞🏻Sadly cant go into details on what those indicators are for the laying of the horses..because if it does turn out to true/profitable then as soon as the stratergy catches on and more and more people follow suit- then pretty soon the markets will factor those indicators in- and it will become worthless. Which is why one will never find a fool proof system form of trading/laying etc online. Horse racing tipping /naps could be the one service where you will find some good/profitable services- due to the fact that the ‘expert’ may no longer be able to get bets on him/herself.. and is now passing on tips/knowledge to earn a crust🤔
But yes deffo a time (now) for doing more research and searching more for the ‘holy grail’ of systems🙏🏻👍
+0In any form of trading/laying the ‘trader’ has pretty much no limits/restrictions on what and how much they can trade and profit..or lose if their no good🙃 So any system/tips from a supposed trader/poker player expert etc would have big ???? as to why they are publishing/selling this info when they could be just raking in unlimited profits themselves😀 Different in the ‘fields’ where acsess to bookies is required and which dosnt have unlimted staking..hence there are some good services in horse/sports betting (scabbs naps!!) which are worth anaylising and considering.
+0This is my problem with one of the big Betfair trading software, if they know what you are going to do, they have the information to exploit that. I’ve contacted someone regarding creating trading bots, so that will be my homework over this outage period!

Sounds interesting Tony👍
+0Calling all the heroes!
Hope evryone has survived the ‘Plauge’ and has managed to get though this lockout without losing thier marbles and/or savings. Mine have certainly been dented- savings not marbles! -at least I think so anywayin on the marbles front. Leave is officialy over on Tuesday with a 1 meeting resumption of play at Newcastle- followed by 2 UK meets a day in the following days. Action should be optimised by the 8th June with the Irish front resuming for action.
Will be in full ‘operation recoup’ mode myself for the first few weeks- taking out as many scraps of tagets as possible and picking out any big ones when they present themselves. Am happy to say that 1 positive from this prolonged lockout has been me aqquring a new set of accounts- ready to fire off. So should quickly start to wipe off the few grand of living exspenses that have been wiped off my slate – before full on Operation Payback mode begins when the bookies come up with some kind of socially distanced re opening plan.
So I hope the old arb army (and new recruits) are like myself Primed, ready and fired up for the ensuing return to action.
See you soon.
+1Attention! lets get all Arby Army members or as many as possible back on active duty in time for resumption of play- which is actually Monday not Tuesday (as I posted wrongly!) Also hopefully gather up and help train some new recruits. Will prob be a lot of trench digging and holding the line early on in the resumption, due to few meets and big fields, but every scrap helps- as rebuilding pushes on in the steady return to all out action. Lets improve on the commucations front and help keep posted all members on any avaiable snipes whenever spotted- not just info on what races look tidy (which is like saying the enemy is hiding behind the bushes without pinpointing when hes popped his head out or nipped out from cover for a slash etc)
Enjoy the sun and last few days of leave- see you all Monday
At ease..
Cpt Scabba
+1Morning Scabba,
I’m ready, sounds like you are!
I do struggle with letting you guys know of opportunities, I’m completely mobile sometimes iPad. I watch the exchange on one and the betting sites on another, if mobile I switch between screens. When a EPR is on i frantically switch between screens looking at numbers until they are close enough for me to place the bet. I’ll try and improve my communication!
Tony
+1Hello chaps, it’s been a quiet few months, can’t wait for the racing to start again on Monday and put the old brain to better use than scrabble and quizzes!
Going to be a strange time I think with lots of big fields so might be more EPRs that bad e/w to go at. No form to go on will probably though up a few big price winners.
Be interesting to see if any unusual trends develop. Certain trainers having their horses primed better than others.
+1Hey Tony/Andy good to hear your about and have survived this lockout. No worries Tony on the comms front- you’ve been a valued posted since joining up- any additional spots/info would be a great addition in the new post LO season if time permits you. Aye agree with you Andy- many more playing games/watching netflix etc days would have sent me totally loco!
Also agree with you that its gonna be intersting/diffucult in the beginning of this return, with the big fields/zero form factors. Extra Place Races very likely to be the main avenues for arbing at first. And yes I am exited! prob on a par with exitiment levels as I would have prior to an upcoming Chelenham week! Which I never thought I’d be about a 10 race/big fields Newcastle card!!Am deffo overcharged! as Im already looking at Mondays Newcastle prices! and pondering the possibility that the 1st two handicaps could be value EPRs and may have a scrap or two of bad each way possibles in the other races. Lets see- glad to see you 2 are tuned up and ready to rumble..roll on Monday.. when I can wake up with a meaningful purpose for the 1st thing in ages!!
Be interesting to see who can nab up the 1st decent arb/profit- post LO. i think after this long LO I’ll prob be singing the old Monster theme song for even $20 1pt place arb coming in…Tunes on my playlist waiting to get pressed!
‘In these parts the merest scrap of imformation can save a mans life’
Bandit to The man with no name (clint eastwood) ‘Fistful of Dollars’+0Evening soldiers!
It’s been a while. Looking forward to the racing staring again. Will be interesting to see what the liquidity & movement trends will be like online with all the betting shops closed.
Scabs – saw your naps post on the 11 Irish horses. Unluckily to not get any returns, but still pretty good value on your selections. I’ve lost a couple of accounts since Chelts. Pissed to lose PP, as that was one of my best for returns. Been thinking of some longer terms strategy for when I inevitably lose more accounts. If we can still pick value using the same EPR strategy, I’m tempted to have a look at some trading, just using the exchange. Could have locked in some profit on most of those 11 Irish horses, or taken risk free shots which will come good in the end. Anyway food for thought.
I was hoping that we might see an increase of bet offers, to try and get all the mug punters to start betting again, as the bookie profits must have had a right bashing over the past few months. Sadly there was not much to see when the Bundesliga started, so I’m not holding out much hope.
One good thing to come out of this lockdown, is now that I am working from home during the week, I should be able to get more involved on the weeks racing rather than just the weekends.
I’ll try and post up opportunities when I see them.
+0Anybody with a clean Sky account have a look at My Boy Lewis in the 1.00 Newcastle @26 laying at 24. I can 40p on!
Al Ozzdi looks a good shout as well in that race at 10s or 9 for the EP
+0Zodiakos is @26 with Bet365, laying at 27. Place lay is currently 5 (albeit little liquidity).
Would be good if all 12 ran!
