New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Most went right for me today, £500+ up
+0Impressive Chris. I know you underlay hence the big wins and losses, but how do you determine what stakes to go for? Or do you just max out every time?
I’ve been adding up multiple EW stakes across bookies to blend in a bit more, but if just one bookie has the high odds would you still go £50 EW on them?
+0Yeah, this has been the best day for me since my unrestricted Betfair Edge/Racing special days…
Long may it continue!+0Bloody hell… gotta get on to this as seems some good money to be had…. is this just each way betting and so do I just swat up on the Each Way Guide on here….. or is it a little bit more in depth as notice people often stating which race should be good to bet on but have no idea as to why or what you are looking for.
Tips or help where to look greatly appreciated
+0Max stakes, horses at good odds, i.e not looking to arb an odds on favourite :P
Today was also good because the bookies that havent restricted my stakes (yet) were the ones offering the best prices.
+0So today, Cardsharp @ 34 you’d begin with say £100 EW at bookie 1, and then keep reducing the stake as they reject it?
I have been in the arb everything camp recently, but it may be that high stakes on just one horse at the bookie is better for account preservation. Who knows

Cheers for flagging the 3pm. Looked a dream, but only had a few mins online early doors to do anything. Managed to get a little on seahenge and lay it off straight away.
If i had more time I’d got more on and laid the place at probably a better price.
Looked plenty places to make cash on US navy flag, and narrowly missed out on 34/36 on cardsharp…. although would been a tad nervous at laying that price at 9am in a 9 horse race+0I don’t think so enigma. 100 eway on cardsharp screams eway sharp…. But I’d still done it if anyone let me and I was around to lay the place later.
+0Cardsharp I only went in £40 ew as my exchange wasnt loaded enough to take that plus everything else I did today. The big stakes were on the other two horses that came first and third.
+0Not the first time we have made money on cardsharp.
Stevey, read the strategy on e/w arbing at the top of this page, them go to the beginning of this thread and read through it, it will take some time but will tell you all you need to know. Good luck.
+014:10@Yarmouth shows potential, also a good race for 10Bet MB2nd as is the 13:40 (10bet weekly free bet offer is now 10X10 btw)
16:20@Musselburgh good for Boyle MB2nd to sp.
15:00, 16:00 and 17:30@Windsor show some potential for Hill 2 clear.
+0Cheers Steve.
The 13.40 at Yarmouth turned out quite well..
There was some value in the place odds of the second favourite and the rule 4 deduction on the favourite worked in my favour.+0No rule 4 at the bookie?!
+0Just noticed that race. What was your original lay and adjusted lay on exchange for that one?
Must have been one of those that massively works in our favour.
+0The ew bet at the bookie was at 3.75, which was reduced to 1.82.
The lay on the win at the exchange was reduced from 4.3 to 1.52
The lay on the two place market at the exchange was reduced from 1.38 to 1.11I had a place bet (3 places) on Pranceabootthetoon…
2.62 at the bookie, no reduction.
2.48 at the exchange, reduced to 1.56…
So they both went from barely worth the effort to decent returns..
