Nice one, worked out very nicely.
Wonder why the bookies didn’t reduce that 3 to place bet. Seen as it’s chances were considerably increased.

4.3 down to 1.52 with the reduction factor!

10 bet didn’t even enforce the rule 4, paid at original odds of 3.75

Yep the beauty of the exchange reducing the % of your returns rather than just the winnings.

Damn really! I was thinking i hadn’t missed out on 10bet after i’d forgot about the race!

I didn’t realise that was how the exchange reduction worked (until I worked it out today).. I knew it always seemed to favour me and that was enough for me…

Seems a little bizarre that the system is so different.. Good from our point of view. Bit of a pisser if you’ve backed at the exchange though..

    Nice one Orlando!

When things happen things can get very messy but will always work in our favour unless it goes from 8 to 7 runners. Say it’s a 10p deduction on the win market on a 10 runner race. It is possible that the place market will reduce by 30-50 percent depending on how bad the ew race is. If the horse places then it’s only a 10p deduction playing the exchange market so makes the ew arb even better should the horse place. Quite often I find it’s the outsider that doesn’t go but if one of the big players don’t go it can be an unexpected bonus along with the usual ones of bog and even rarer but has happened the stewards inquiry

No one has highlighted the 2.30 Leicester? Absolute dream of a bad ew after those two non runners.

Favourite doesnt seem to be that well fancied so all the outsiders are coming in nicely. Got Oakley Pride (13), Princess Way (17) and Echoism (21).

Hadn’t noticed the NRs, doesn’t look to be much value at current prices.

Nice one Princess, £73 profit there. Think I even underlayed the place a little too early too.

I’m guessing everyone has benefited from this?

I was on Sans souci Bay at Hills for 2 clear (marked it as a bad e/w last night but forgot!) As dusty bin refused to go in the stalls and became a non-runner, Smarkets applied a reduction factor but Hills didn’t apply a rule 4 (and I was on Boost) made an extra £70 as well as the free bet!

As discussed, same thing happened yesterday with the horse that fell in the stalls and didn’t run, anyone any idea why bookies aren’t applying the rule 4 (fast results shows the official winning price as 6/4, so I assume that no bookies reduced the odds)

Chris, the favourite was fancied this morning (1.8) went of at 2.5, apparantley it has form for leaving the stalls slowly (or not at all!)
