New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Who with pbetts? Purring for that
High 5 with hills tomorrow too they emailed me as a leading customer
+0Hills high 5 now only 15% over 5 lengths and no second place offer. And I’m not a leading customer. FACT.
+0They emailed me as an unwanted customer too about high5……
Sad to see 2nd place go although was inevitableCame to the party far too late today and had all my eggs in one basket in the last. Was waiting to get matched for a risk free shot at 350 plus potential 2 clear when the exchange price jumped 0.4 in one move. Layed most for a smaller profit then held a bit back to lay in running…. as efficient as Betfairs placing is i don’t get why the value on a price gap goes to the person in the queue. Pretty sure on smarkets if I try and lay at 3 whilst 2 is already there I get the 2 as opposed to the pending bet getting the 3
+0You sure that’s what happened? It shouldn’t do. If i go to lay at 1.50 for example and it gets backed in to 1.45 during the process, it’ll match at 1.45. Smarkets only seem to differ by adjusting your stake so your return is same as it would have been at the original request.
+0Yeah the last lay is showing up dead on on 3.0, but was instantly matched in running. Think the price was 2.8 when I started to enter it and about 2 when the bet got matched after the delay
Second time it’s happened to me on there….. although I shouldn’t be laying off that late anyway. HahaThe hobbit horse ran in the end, kind of came nowhere. Bet seems settled ok though
+0This happened to me the other day, I went to lay at 2.6 and the odds went down to 2.54 so thinking that smarkets would recalculate as they used to, I hit confirm and it matched at 2.6. Annoyingly the odds went on to drop to around 2.4 so its not like they bounced straight up again.

Hmmm so nothing really obvious jumping out today but worth keeping an eye on the following:
3.10 Cheltenham – 20 runner handicap
4.20 Cheltenham – 17 runner handicap
7.45 Wolverhampton – Maybe one or two runners too many but could develop over the day if favourite gets backed in some more.
+0Yeh not much so a bit of blue sky thinking for me today, sweep up some of the offers ive been holding back on to get my ton for the day
+0Cheers Betman, Deathstar. Never noticed that before, pretty sure it shouldn’t happen though?!
+0I didn’t think it should happen either. I guess another question is whether the backer was getting 3 or if Betfair are pocketing the gap!
Wasn’t small change either if the horse had wonThe 2nd half of dundalk card is 16/17 runner handicaps. That is should anyone want to spend their Fri evening scanning the odds as the risk of a drop to 15 runners plus late liquidity will most likely prevent anyone doing most the leg work earlier.
+0Doncaster 2:25 might throw up some small opportunties. Probably needs a non runner between 2nd and 6th fave to make it worthwhile though.
+0Don’t waste your time on those Dundalk ones if they’re showing reserves. Only 14 usually run. Poor form that some bookies still advertise these as 1/4 odds for 4 places.
+0Doncaster 2:25 is 1/4 at 188
+0Definitely worthwhile then, thanks.
+0188 doing 10% back on losses which will cover any QL
