New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Lack of extra place claims that Matchedem hammers? Along with having the best 2nd to Sp strikerate of all time!
Ladbrokes actually is more believable as Chester was ridiculously profitable there.
I’ve recently signed upto alot of these mug £10 2nd to sp etc sites. Find it extremely tedious, so respect matchedems relentless bashing of these. Whether his numbers are true or not think it’s safe to say hes a grafter. Would hate to have to fill in his spreadsheet!
+0As well as the ones that mention it 10bet real deal and 188bet r money back to sp fav
Thanks for the support fog…to a few others whatever else can I do to convince?!?!
+0Doggie is legend just say it
+03.7 up in May 0.8 already in June da dog is on a roll
+0Sorry guys lost my profeshionalism their. I’d had 12 pints when I got in so a bit giddy…was celebrating my wins but probably came across as a little braggy
+0Getting a tad tedious this stuff now – Time for action Matt – spoiling a decent forum this guy – or girl??
Boring!!+0His breakdown is useful. Put a pinch of salt with it if you like, but look what he’s churning through on basic offers
Whilst I find the concept of these posts a bit pointless as a whole it had been pointed out they do have their worth, often after I’ve stirred something up…Just the 12 pints matchedem? Most of the forum do 15 😉
+0Get regular offer updates, tip and tricks, big offer alerts and more straight to your inbox.
I hope that you have deducted those points from your profit figures!
+0Matchedem’s figures aren’t that far fetched at all, although people are right that a good bit of time might be needed to achieve them.
The thing is maybe he’s very economical with his time and bangs out 3/4 offers it the same race with different bookies, which is not that hard to do and can get through them quickly. Also, some accounts can last for ages through offers. He’s no fool, like what he said last week about the tennis offers and doing the same match with different bookies, or even the same match with multiple accounts with a boookie. You can be selective in your races, like the 2nd to SP fave offer is tough, but if you’re just doing races with a short SP fave then you have a great chance and combine bookies, like the 2:35pm at Epsom yesterday, it was the only 2nd to SP fave rave I done yesterday and it clicked so well.
+0I certainly can’t hit an extra place for toffee it’s crazy
So very average two day derby meeting for me
+0haha betman it was 6.1% strength stuff tho so 6.1×12 = 73.2. A has 18×4% which is only 72
Like people say I do do the same offers on a number of sites/accounts at times. If its good value for 1 bet its good value for 3 is my motto, well one of them. Doggie snacks taste better when u have more
Marv wait til royal ascot…extra places galorey
+0@matchedem I think it’s time to tone all of this down now mate once and for all. Whilst you’re not breaking any forum rules, your comments are often inflammatory and it’s having a negative impact on the forum.
I’ve addressed this with you privately on occasions, but I feel it’s now necessary to air this publicly given that there is a lot of discontent floating around.
It’s frustrating as you often post some good stuff but that is very much overshadowed by a lot of nonsense.
If this continues I’ll have no choice but to take action, so let’s drop the attitude and get back to helping each other out. That’s what the forum was created for.
+0Understood boss man
+0if we for the moment believe matchedems profits, then plenty was made from the lesser known bookies and no doubt of this plenty was made in the week
naturally making profits at the weekends is much easier for most, but as much work is needed in the week, it just depends on personal circumstances doesnt it on how much time can be spent
my best months in the past have come where i was churning out steady profit each weekday (some bookies on certain days went 1/4 odds all races during jumps season, and we all know the 25% by 5 lengths goldmine)
also, at the weekends, because i genuinely follow horse racing, i only bet on the tv races, watching the sport is my relaxing time too
for this month i am going to try and up my game in the week, to go at all those offers i have previously decided the commercial/life balance are maybe not worth doing, to see if my profits will really be boosted or i am wasting my time
but i do need to streamline certain things, like cashing in free bets, some sunday racing is so bad and liqudity so poor, however maybe thats just smarkets
+0There are three key things needed in this game to make decent profits:
– Cash. I currently have nearly £30,000 spread around various bookies and exchanges. In these low interest times, I’m not sacrificing much by having it out there, and it means I can generally move fast to get bets on – no need to go through a deposit transaction before placing a bet after which the price may well have moved and the opportunity passed. That said, it’s still amazing how often it feels like I need to fund an account in order to make a bet. I ended up passing on the Brazil “Ronaldo to score in the first half” offer because I would have needed to get £2000 into Brazil and £4000 into Smarkets in order to get a quick back and lay on Juve. I regret passing that up now, obviously!
– Time. I gave up full-time work over a year ago and alongside some home-based freelancing bits and pieces, I can devote as much time as I feel is beneficial to matched betting.
– Accounts. Ungubbed and un stake limited accounts to be able to take advantage of the offers out there.
As I’ve already said, my best month in around 6-7 months of matched betting was around £5k and from a single set of accounts in my own name. I don’t keep granular records of bets, just balances at each bookie updated each day.
I don’t doubt Matchedem’s profits, particularly if he is multi-accounting which enables either the exploitation of an offer multiple times and/or spreading transactions more thinly which will help evade scrutiny and gubbing/limiting/account closure.
However, it would take up a lot of time. I sometimes have a flick through the daily racing card around lunchtime and will back and lay any very close matches in the hope snagging some Best Odds Guaranteed, as well as being seen to place bets on races where there are no offers on. To make decent profits on the 2nd to SP, fallers and the like would take a lot of time in order to be able to pounce as and when a good odds match becomes available.
And from my experience, flat racing feels very difficult to profit from relative to the jumps. High 5 was great for me but 2 Clear feels a lot more difficult, to the point I’ve barely tried to play it.
