New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Hi there,
£400 is a decent size bankroll, so having completed the sign up offers, you do have options.
You should now be looking to take advantage of reload offers and there’s nothing wrong with being selective. Make sure you permit the bookmakers to send you marketing communications via email and SMS. You can usually enable that in your account settings. Bookmakers often send out exclusive reload offers and they can be pretty decent.
You’ll find a comprehensive list of profitable reload offers on my blog.
If you’re interested in 2UP offers and extra place offers, there’s nothing stopping you dipping your toes in with small stakes. It would be an ideal time to learn the ropes and get your head around things.
You’ll find a range of basic and other advanced strategies to learn on my guides page too.
I hope that helps.
The odds you’re seeing is just a guide price, based on the prices at fixed-odds bookmakers. You won’t know what odds you’re getting on your bet until it settles, which makes it difficult to lay.
You could treat it as advantage play, but personally I would be inclined to leave it.
If your back bet is on a 0-0 draw and someone scores, then your back bet loses.
If your lay bet is against under 0.5 goals and someone scores, your lay bet would win as the match hasn’t finished with under 0.5 goals.
‘0-0’ and ‘under 0.5 goals’ are the same outcome. You’ll see for matches with both outcomes available that the lay odds for each outcome are the same.
My advice would be to place your bets on higher profile matches that regular punters will be betting on. Placing bets on obscure matches may draw unwanted attention to your accounts.
It’s an offer that’s definitely to be avoided @bettingbitz as the terms are just too strict.
10x wagering isn’t too much of an issue, but with them being a lesser known brand, you run the risk of being restricted mid-rollover. The main deal-breaker though is the maximum conversion of £20 as if your initial bet wins, you’re in trouble!
Don’t be afraid of walking away from an offer if the terms are too strict, there are plenty of better options out there.
It’s worth mentioning that RoyalTigerBet are operated by ProgressPlay Limited, who also operate a number of other bookmakers with exactly the same welcome offer.
Here’s a list of the ones I’m aware of (there will no doubt be others)…
BetDukes, BetNeptune, BetScreamer, BetSteve, GatoBet, InfernoBet, InterBet, PriveWin, RubyBet, SponsioBet, VStarBet and Winissimo.
I would be inclined to keep on at them @gilbs.
Provided you’ve met the terms, you’re entitled to chase it up. It’s frustrating having to do so, but sometimes it happens unfortunately.
No it wouldn’t be fixed at 6/1 @bettingbitz. Your return would be based on the total value of bets placed and how many winners there are.
This is how it’s explained on Tote’s site…
The ‘Guide’ price on a Tote racecard gives you an idea what the horse is returning with fixed-odds bookmakers. However, the Totewin and Toteplace figures will be more accurate as an estimation of the dividend based on the current make-up of the Tote pools. All figures you see are an estimated return based on a £1 stake.
Hi @ajweeeze.
I’m not sure which game you’re referring to or whether it’s been played yet but yes you can lay your bet on the ‘Under 0.5 Goals’ market.
If a goal is scored, your free bet would lose and your lay bet would win.
I hope that helps.

Did everything go okay with your qualifying bet @drey?
Yes, if you signed up for their 0% commission welcome offer, any commission you pay in your first 30 days will be refunded. Refunds are credited each Wednesday based upon your activity during the 7 days prior.
So, because commission is charged initially at 5%, I think it’s best to stick with 5% on the calculator whilst you’re getting the hang of things. You can then just enjoy the cash refunds each Wednesday.
Yes definitely @drey, I always say you can start with as little £50.
A smaller bankroll doesn’t limit the amount you can earn, it just means it may take you a little longer to reach your goals.
I’ve actually put together an article about starting bankrolls which you may find useful…

Great post @TheBigA.
Thanks for sharing!
Hi @welshyp,
I don’t have OddsMatcher software available, though you’ll find a range of guides and calculators via the top main menu.
I think you’ll find that the busier a forum is, the less civilised it becomes. The majority of people want to help each other, but you’ll always get people who spoil it.
If you’re looking to join a premium matched betting service, my advice would be to try OddsMonkey too. You’ll then be in a better position to decide who you want to go with.
I hope that helps.
No problem @cosmic.
With free bets, you usually have to select them on the betslip when you place your bet.
If you just enter an amount and place it, that will usually be taken from your cash balance.
Hi @cosmic.
I’ve not seen the terms of your £1 free bet, but Coral free bets are usually stake not returned.
So, once you won £15 on the horses, you should have been able to withdraw that as cash.
If your subsequent bet won, your £15 stake at odds of 1.85 would have generated a profit of £12.75 at Coral and you would have lost £13.65 at Betfair, leaving you with an overall loss of £0.90.
I hope that helps.
Pleased to hear it worked out for you.
If your selection had won though, you would have made a big loss at the exchange and faced the prospect of taking £20 maximum from BetDukes, so just something to be aware of.
I don’t have a guide up for BetBull yet @chigs2707, though I’ll look to get one added soon.
You just need to place qualifying bets to unlock your free bets. Once they’re unlocked, you can place them on trebles and lay them at Smarkets as normal.
For a walkthrough of how to lay multiples, please see my laying multiples guide.
I don’t think there’s anything stopping you placing your free bets on the same treble and laying all at once, as long as you have the exchange funds to cover the total liability.
