Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

wtf happened in the 3.40?

had my boost on sea story for a nice risk free shot at 3 figures, looked on Betfair in running and was just shortening below 3 in price when it shot out to 1000. Given it was a bumper can only assume it was running well then went lame

Dont know why my post was reported…. wasn’t claiming to have hit the 3 that hit bonus.

Sea Story jinked after a furlong and unshipped rider… I lost £30 on it as I had to gamble after not cancelling a lay in time.

On a brighter note I just had £40ew on at 23.0/21.0 in the extra place 16.00 Newcastle… finished 4th after getting blocked when making a run. :-)

thanks Bob. Bit lazy not using sportinglife but someone in this post seems to have an idea what’s gone on in that type race
I may look out for it next time from a pure punting perspective. The UR may be reflected in price, and somebody pushed some money at it just before the off – and if it fell so early they must have had another go snapping liquidity in running.

from your post the other day bob I suspect you have are wondering wtf Seville and leipzig are doing as I type

Quick question. What happens to the place part of your bet if you get on a 5 horse race EW race and it drops to 4?

Ie 8 runners pays 3 places, if it drops to 7 it only pays 2. Surely if a 5 horse race drops to 4 the place part of the bet can’t default to the top spot as well….?

I’m confused- 5th place is an ‘extra place’ not standard terms so depends on bookies t&c?
skybet state the rules which I’ve never seen win only, others do as they choose which is often lose the extra place?

I only really do extra places where there’s strong liquidity, which is when this scenario is unlikely to arise… so maybe I’m also learning like beaser but don’t recall a scenario when you’d go from 5 to 1 rather than 5 to 3
