My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I got the place matched at 1.84. Not great but still learning the knack here too.

Happy enough though I have 2.4/1.84 arb on the place and just a small loss on the win part.

Perfect result. The horse didn’t win so the exchange isn’t cleared out. I underlayed so the place gave me £10 profit off just £20 ew stake….

I know it’s a lot of tracking odds all morning but if you’re at a computer anyway and can just check here and there then it’s fine. Besides with experience I imagine you get to know the key times when the odds start forming….

Yeah, Doreen was a terrible choice, lost a bit of money on that. Backed / laid Munstead on Skybet, but was restricted to a few pounds only.

How do you guys go about selecting a specific horse in a bad each way race? Is it just a matter of going for the horse with the tightest back and lay odds, that also has a realistic chance of placing, and hoping that the place lay odds will be much less than the bookie place odds near the time of the start of the race?

Crazy EW arb in the 6:30, From Eden is effective odds of 6.0/3.0 on the place!

Only 8 runners though, would be very tense if late non runner…

Adio, everyone has different methods but I generally just check the odds against the exchange place market whenever I have some free time.

Just Eden in that race was 26.0 to back and was 26/34 on the exchange, but the place was as low as 3.0 in the 20 minutes before the off.

I actually managed to lay it at 29.0 so had a really good arb on the place at 6.0/3.0.

I personally take the place prices there and then as there is a skill required to knowing what will get backed in further on the exchange.

I skipped the 1830. Well done Johnbo though.

Adio, it’s purely on the odds. Ideally you want back/lay a couple of clicks apart and the place to be an Arb when you place bet. Leave off laying the place until close to the off as usually the odds will fall. If the horse is short enough that it looks like it will place I underlay to break even should it not place. If it’s a long horse take the guaranteed profit. I know feck all about racing/form/tracks/trainers etc I just know a good match when I see one.

Also had From Eden in the 6.30 race but I could only get £20 ew on so my underlayed win was £59 when it could have been so much more. I took a £8 loss on the win part having almost forgot about it.

Been keeping an eye on the 9pm race but too many runners (shame there isnt one more) and nothing good on the win back and lay.
