    Got Magical 21/20 on the win and 5/3.35 on the place. Underlayed for £56 if he places, maybe should have gone in higher stakes :|

    Double boom

    Thanks Mr crispy
    Didn’t do biggest stakes, but that probably helped me hanging closer to the off before laying. I’d maybe made less off double stakes as wouldn’t had the win arb

    Probably worth taking Glebe Girl at 15 in the 5.15 Tramore.

    Hope some of you took Glebe Girl at 15. Lovely arb on the win and place now.

    Underlayed again.

    The place went down to 2.1 at the off!

    I underlayed so may well not place lol

    I was on be a beneficiary as it’s price started to tumble as I looked, then drifted massively on exchange so took some luck to lay in running

    Had an arb on the winner from this morning

    Nice 2nd there Chris, good result :)

    @Betman
    , I know what you mean, the odds can be crazy on the Irish racing sometimes!

    The win part was my fault for trying to be greedy again, but the place odds were trading at a loss about 4 mins before the off!
    All worked out ok though, shame I didn’t lay all of my win arb before the reductions started kicking in or that would been even more.

    Good tip on Magical, Chris. I had my max stake* with Bet356 at 19 without laying.

    Chris – the 18.15 at Dundalk last weekend – you’re spot on with the place arb on the second favourite, I got 1.5/1.2! I only had £20 e/w on it unfortunately, that was worth a measly £4.54. I made £14.49 with £20 e/w on your boy Cocohulababy.

    You’re probably right that the longer shots are a better bet in the main but, I loved it when I could get £400 each way on a second favourite.

    Are you backing and then waiting to lay the win and place?

    * £1.67 each way :-)

    £400 each way, no wonder your account went :P You obviously have the cash so it sounds like you should be placing bets in the shops.

    Glad you got on the others though too, on a bit of a winning streak with those three in a row, great prices too 20/1, 20/1 and 16/1.

    I back then wait to lay, I was 90% confident that the win lays would come in on the two selections today because they were third favourites so incredibly unlikely that the prices would not come in at bookies and on the exchange. My only concern was liquidity on Irish racing which is always a worry. Place lays I always do about 5 minutes before the off, could have made more if I had waited a few more minutes.

    17.00 at Hexham is a beauty although nine runners at present make it medium risk.

    Smiling Jessica is 26 at a number of bookies and Luso Benny is the other to go for at 16 at some bookies too.
