Bad EW Races NO CHAT

  • Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Hmmm yeah, £400ew probably isn’t a great way to make an account last.. I have tended to take whatever I can get and not think about restrictions too much.

I’ve dabbled with shop betting, the main thing that puts me off is having to have a load of cash on you all the time.

I tend to lay off the win and place straight away, I know I could (almost certainly) make more by waiting but I like placing the bet laying and then moving on to the next one (and having no risk of forgetting to lay something).

    Lots of good races today.

    2.15pm Thirsk
    3pm Lingfield (8 runners)
    5pm Hexam

3pm Lingfield isnt really a bad ew race as you have four horses priced below 10/1 and yes with 8 runners its far too risky especially as its a flat race.

2.15 is decent but I think with the first three in the betting reasonably well fancied, the lay odds on the rest arent going to come in at all. Will pass on it too.

I agree the 3pm is a little too risky.

But you can get Bamako Du Chatelet at 11 with Coral/Ladbrokes..

Win is laying at 11.5 and place at 2.48 atm (no real liquidity though).

Highlight of my day so far – I have a risk free shot at £6 if No I’m Easy places in the 2.15 at Thirsk.

    7.50 Windsor one to watch.

3.45 thirsk may give a couple in the 4 place 1/4 odds race.

Yep the 4 places 1/4 odds on bet365 are working out a bit better than the 5 places 1/5 odds on Sky. Helps B365 have better odds to start off with too eg Interlink is 13.0 vs 11.0 on Sky. Elysian Flyer 21.0 vs 19.0.

I think I missed the opportunity on Hexham 500. Win odds bookie vs exchange are already too wide.

Smiling Jessica can still be got on at 21 and I would be surprised if those odds dont come steaming in closer to the off as ew betters look for value. I got on at 26 and I’m sure I’ll be able to lay off the win at an arb. The favourite is odds on but drifting so I think it will work out very well.

The place is already arbing 5/3.95 if you take 21 now.

21 but the lay is 40? Are you putting in an order at the low end and getting a match or are you waiting and expecting the win lay to come in?

Managed to get 3 with small arbs or perfect matches for the win on the 3.45. Hopefully get a point or better on the place for each, not huge stakes on this though.

Nothing good there in the 345 for me. Had a little on Bogart ew just as an insurance as seemed a bit of value, but none of my main players placed.

I’ve not even put an order in yet, I am pretty sure that the price will come in at the bookies, I reckon that horse will go off closer to 15 and the lay will be around 19.

750 at Windsor looks okay too. Just took Turnpike Trip @ 4.0/3.95 at Stan anyway. Not the ideal sort of horse but the place is a bit of an arb so should be some profit in it.

Good read on Smiling Jessica, lay dropping to 21 on the win… now 18 .. now back up a bit… Dont know how you can read it like that, could just as easily went the opposite direction like Luso Benny did?
