Right an idea I got from oddsmonkey, we post the daily bad EW races on here with no chat or discussion, plenty of topics for that. Think this thread will help us all in case you don’t think it will just skip this please ?

I put the full £200 on.

I look at early prices and check the lay is close enough. It always helps going for the Racing Post nap horse too as people will use that to inform their choices.

WH made a boo boo with my free bet too, £50 max on 2 Clear but I have £56.10.

I know FoG, the irony, I proved myself wrong via the exercise but I still stand by my points :P

Essential in the next by 2 lengths please.

Went for the wrong horses all day apart from the boosted one, I’ll take that though.

Can u please explain this commish thing it seems like the magicians circle no one will tell. How can I account for 2% commish and then claim it back in sprouts after?

Work it out from your net result in the market.

Say i have several bets on same horse race. One of which is £25 at 5.0/5.0. I lay that for £25.10. Making it a 40p loss on the calculator yeah.

But if another of my horses win the race and i’ve made a loss on the market. Then that £25 bet at 5.0/5.0 is a 10p prof not 40p loss. I lost £25 at bookies but made £25.10 on exchange.

I have wondered how people that keep a record of every bet, account for commission savings without spending all day working it out.

Not such an issue if you’re only placing 2 lays on a market but if you place say 6 or 7, and lay the winner but still have an overall profit on the market, it must be a right pain to work it out with any sort of accuracy.

I’m a terrible individual and my record keeping consists purely of keeping track of the balances of all my accounts (plus any deposits and withdrawals).. Works for me.
