Betfair Exchange racing offer

  • Just wondering whether anyone has dabbled with this – the back a horse at 4.0 or higher and get your money back if it goes odds on in play then loses?

I’ve always left this alone on the basis that it was unlikely to be profitable based on frequency of it occurring, one you factor in the slightly higher lay odds and commission. Anyone have any thoughts or experiences with this?

Also, any issue with qualifying if you’re gubbed on SB?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

…..aaaaand nope. Not one. 0/7. I can guarantee that if I just decided to lay whichever horse I selected it would win.

On average I hit two each day so a nice little offer. I know £18 profit a day is peanuts for most on here but it depends on what you want to get out of matched betting.

Money is money. Considering that this is almost zero effort I can’t really grumble. Never going to make a fortune though.

£18 per day is c£550 per month.. Even one refund per day is pretty decent return for minimal work.

Two of my three so far have gone on to win and I don’t think the other went below 2.0

what sort of QL’s are people happy to be taking on these?

Not sure if im totally correct but you would also have the option of putting on a second back bet in play if your horse gets to odds on. E.g. Back for 10 @ 1.7 for a risk free shot at @7. If it loses then you get your refund and you’re break even and it if goes on to win. Then your 7 up.

Takes a bit more effort but presumably would be more profitable as once a horse is odds on its more likely to win than to lose.

First bet only match and in-play doesn’t count.

Kitkat- If you are quick you can get a £0 QL. Also can get an arb if you are prepared to back and lay later (risk that it drifts). If you just want to get on quick it’s about £0.40 – £0.70 per race.
