The Open Offers
-
Ppl are starting to get giddy about the open. Couple of posts already.
Betstars are doing their usual bog offer and their free bets for eagles. Both worth while.
Sky are gone TEN places which I think is a great sign. I’m enjoying this little battle that the bookies have going to see who can offer the most places. With the ten places there is marginally value on pretty much all the top ten each way (except Dustin who they have quoted terrible odds for as have most).
The surprise package is Sun here with actual decent odds. 16/1 on Dustin for example where some other good bookies are as low as 12/1. With 7 places too on Sun I think it isn’t bad value for an extra place shot. Sun are best price on the top 20. If you want something on DJ you won’t get any better value that Sun here….
I noticed on the Irish Open that BetMcLean have copied betstars style bog offer so I’ll keep an eye there too.
I can see some good value forming already and as the exchange prices get tighter over the week I’m hoping some more obvious value emerges. I have an eye on sky betstars and sun for the most part. Plus some bookies still doing 1/4 odds (ladbrokes, betstars, and Stan James) which throws up the odd surprise ew arb.

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Betfair are doing place a £10 back bet on the winner on the exchange and get a £5 free bet on Sportsbook
+0Ladbrokes are doing bet £20 on outright winner, get 2 x £5 free bets.
Can be a £10 EW (which would give a go at hitting the extra place also :))
+0It’s against the terms of the betfair offer to lay it on the exchange
+0No I understand I can’t lay off the 5FB.
I am just trying to clear up about what it means “bet on the exchange” does this mean I can lay – for example I bet 20 on dabblebet (to get their offer) then lay off the betfair exchange (to get their offer).
Or does it have to be a bet on the exchange and lay it off on smarkets?
+0888 money back if miss the cut. Can be done for more than one player.
+0Cracking offer at Betmclean. MB if player misses the cut (max £25) plus 1/4 odds 7 places. Unfortunately there is an error loading the Ts&Cs page at present.
+0Get regular offer updates, tip and tricks, big offer alerts and more straight to your inbox.
Sexy prices offered at Ladbrokes and Coral right now.
+0For the extra places are you laying the Win and EW off now or will the ew come in closer to the off?
+0Some money starting to come into BF Top 8 market. May find some risk free shots at Skybets 10 places
+0Im pretty sure it says in the betfair terms in has to be a £10 back bet on the exchange but worth double checking.
+0Anyone know the situation regarding gubbed accounts and extra places? Sure I remember reading most bookies still pay out extra places but some don’t. Anyone know which they are, especially SKY?
+0Hi Tornado
Just received a gubbing email from Skybet and it states as follows:After a recent review by our trading team, it has been decided that this account requires tighter liability management. Unfortunately this means the account will no longer be eligible for any of our free bet promotions (including Sky Bet Club and Money Back refunds).
In addition, from this point forward any bets placed will no longer apply for Best Odds Guaranteed and will be settled at the price option taken upon placement.
No mention of extra place offers so I assume they are OK. The proof of the pudding will be in the eating!!
+0I am pretty sure that they do pay the extra place for Sky even if gubbed.
Did a test there on their extra place race in Thirsk this evening and they def paid me out for the fourth placed horse Halinka. So you should be okay.
