ACCA (again sorry!)

  • Hi Guys,
    First post in a while!

Thought it was time I started on the Acca’s. I feel the best method for me personally is the Lay all at the start method, I presume the no lay method is probably more beneficial, however guess i’m just a wimp!

    Result Bookmaker Exchange Your Profit
    All win (24%) £68 -£40 £28
    1 lose (40%) -£5 -£7.50 -£12.50
    2 lose (26%) -£25 £25 £0
    3 lose (9%) -£25 £57.50 £32.50
    4 lose (1%) -£25 £90 £65
    All lose (0.1%) -£25 £122.50 £97.50

I found the above online, this is based off a £25 stake and back and lay odds of 1.3/1.32. I assume this is correct?

    Any tips would be appreciated!
    Thanks

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Im sounding like a salesman for them these days… but u need to get it oddsmonkey account going on these. Can easily filter down bookies to see where value is

Tip – their software doesn’t get the ‘1.7/1.7 isn’t better than 1.3/1.32’ logic and picks the top 5 closest matches on the odds range. So you can often improve EV and lower variance by tweaking what’s in the bet

I’m still finding my feet for the coming season in terms of where’s worth hitting, and what’s acceptable odds for variance. It may well be a case of doing a couple of accas rather than loads for some bookies as limited availability of value. But I don’t see bets of a couple of hundred a week as unrealistic what I’ve seen so far, so hopefully still generate triple figures a month easily enough

I’ve started doing Bruce the last couple of weeks and usually easy enough to find a good one for favourites like 1.3,1.4,1.5. Sure total odds can come up to about 10/1 which will be a pain when dealing with variance so probably need to find a way to minimise that (lay all up front, find sequential matches and fully lay sequentially, at least leave the final leg on its own so if it gets that far you can lay for stake back).

I think there’s still plenty to keep going and tonight is English football league cup games and Scottish league cup games. This time of the season the games come fast Mid week, then weekend, so you’ll have opportunities to look and get on something almost every day. I’m on 3 acca’s set up today and they will all finish fri at latest which will give me a chance to get on at least 3 more over the weekend (maybe even 3 on sat AND 3 on sun).. All in should be about £25 in value there. I accept that I’ve lost too many accounts and bookies have made it harder by adjusting their terms. So I won’t be hitting 1K per month but I still see the potential for me to hit £100 to £200 per month….

Early cup rounds always throw up some mismatches ideal for acca insurance…

@Dave min odds of 1.7 are pretty big. Yes variance will probably kill you. Try other tactics like lay all up front. Sometimes if I have a free bet knocking around in another account I’ll bet against one of the legs on the acca.

Lay upfront may be a good shout for the longer odds fog. I looked into laying sequential on a few of these, but you switch a couple legs to allow sequential lays then reduce the EV for laying and it’s hardly worthwhile.

Had my 3 longer odds win of my only 21bet Acca last night. Hopefully the 2 shorter come in and I leave them with the rough side of variance for their tightness

Sometimes variance is a good thing!

I used dafa at the end of last season. I tried at the end of July this summer and I could no longer log on. I thought that I was gubbed but I emailed them and they said they no longer have a licence for Ireland but will be back.

That’s funny because that license changed ages ago so what had they been operating under until the summer.

Still waiting for a lot of them to come back that went that time the law was changed.

Can’t believe a lot of them haven’t sorted things out yet.

When 10bet came back they only offer the European version of their business which means we can’t do the UK offers like before.

I think Sporting bet may have finished their excellent acca insurance offer. I can’t find it anywhere on their site. Has anyone heard anything?

StanJames are doing their ACCA insurance again. Seems the same as last season, £25 refund, no minimum odds, only games that take place between certain times, and at least one game from the Premier League.

You’re right biscuit. That’s all matched betting really ever was. Few pound here there. Some ppl expected big profits from little effort but was never really like that even in the hay day.

Does anyone use McBookie for their ACCA Insurance?

I’m aware their sign up offer is Scottish Residents only but I think their insurance is available to everyone?

They always appear at the top of Odds Monkey ACCA Finder with one around £7 EV from £25.
