Acca Profit Spreadsheet
-
Hi All
I’ve been racking my brain most of the day trying to come up with a spreadsheet that generates the correct lay stakes to guarantee the expected value profit of a 6 fold acca.
After a lot of trial/error I think I’ve got something that works.
The spreadsheet can be accessed here:

If someone can check I’ve got this right it would be appreciated as I’d like to start doing these over the next week or so.Thanks

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Yeah I knew there was something wrong with it when the liabilities didn’t work out correctly but I can’t seem to work out how those stakes Mark posted are calculated as they seem to be quite under what I would expect them to be and what a lay calculator would suggest as well.
I’m guessing this is where I need to use the solver tool in Excel to start working things out correctly to go through all the permutations.
Thanks for all the pointers so far. I’m hoping to do some more work on this later today/over the week should work commitments allow with the aim of attempting an acca next weekend+0Knocked this up this morning, see what you think:

+0Sam2209 – This certainly looks good but is there any chance you can share the underlying formula? then I can take a proper look at it – Many thanks
+0This version may or may not display better, depending on you settings…

Let me know if this is helpful?
+0tennispunter – I’m not too familiar with google docs. Happy to share but you’ll have to explain how I do it?
+0sam2209 – this is great can now view the formula – will take a look and revert idc. Many thks for sharing.
+0What is the underlying formula? I can`t see it.

Third time lucky, try this one:

I shall look at your formula’s see if I can get my head round it
Thanks
+0Thks Sam – I will do the same over the course of this week. No doubt I may well have a few questions – thks again for sharing.
+0Is there some sort of algebraic formula I`m missing?
+0Looking pretty good Sam from an initial look, certainly more in depth than what I’d come up with.
There looks to be an issue though with the wwwww and wwwwl section which I can’t quite work out as if you change the odds the returns drop from the 6.98 down to 5p+0Sam2209 – I confess I must congratulate you on a brilliant spreadsheet for which many many thanks.
Having looked at it in some detail it does seem to work through leg by leg. I am no mathematician but the probability tables (deezer53 see rows 74-94) all seem to me to be correct.
One question I have is with ref to cell I45 & others e.g. N30 – what is the significance of these amounts – sorry if I am being stupid but I don’t think any other formula refers to these and I cannot understand quite what their purpose is.
Many thanks again for what is a magnificent effort and piece of work – 10 out of 10!
+0This is great, but how do we work out the expected profit to begin with, is it basically just a % of the initial stake?
+0@tennispunter Don
t know if thats the problem but theres nothing I can see in rows 74-94. Theres nothing after row 45 on the sheet I`m looking at.+0
