My theory beyond matched betting

Hi all have not posted in a while and have seen the forum collapse due to the lack of offers. My online career is all but over now due to being gubbed in the last week by my last few standing accounts. Anyway people will want to argue this but over the last month I turned a 4K bankroll into 21k by something called each way arbing.

The basic jist of this is to pick races with 8,9 16-20 runners and backing certain horses each way. It always works in fields of 16-20 runners where 4 are paid and works in the 8 or 9 especially when there are 2 or 3 outsiders or an odds on favourite.

For example I put 100 ew on a 12/1 shot on bet365 in a 17 runner race. I am looking to lay at 13 on betfair. Let the lay match and as soon as it has take the 12/1. Current position is your down a max of 5 pounds on bf commission. (Use smarkets if you wish)

Then go on the place markets and lay the horse. The odds on 365 are 3/1 (4) as a 1/4 of the odds. On betfair this should be lower and often trading around 3.3/3.4. This means you can play about with the numbers to make a profit but say i lay 120 @ 3.4 to lose 288 I can make around 12-14 on this part after commission. Therefore I’m around a tenner up before the race regardless of what happens.

As my bankroll got bigger I got better at it by doing multiple horses in races and laying the places 3 mins before the start of the race. people can say what they want about me being 17k up from it but I know I have made this money and the theory works if you are sharp at maths can react quickly to mental calculations and I know a few people on here would be able to do it.

Looks like I have had another disaster. Got 40 up from the 1:05 and then had my most profitable account restricted by 10%. Have kept it quiet because it has served me well for the last 4 months but my paddy power looks to have been reduced from max wins of 450 all the way down to 45.

I 100% understand if people have their own website that they do well on but now need a new main site for what I am doing.

Below is my list of restrictions and how I think they have happened for those who may be in the game on any of these websites.

Bet 365 – Glory days where I managed to make enough to take a year out of my job. When banned restricted to winning 50 carried on and this went down to 5.

Paddy Power – Was gubbed for ages but got back involved when 365 went wrong originally was allowed wins of just under 1k which got halved and then restricted to 10% today so can currently win around 45.

Sky Bet – Had gambling control ring me up countless times before I got hit where 1 day I put in 4k lost it. Put in another 4k and got up to 11k. Restrictions put me down to winning 100 from a bet or 500 after show prices. This got put down to 20 and 100 around 2 months ago.

WH – Gubbed over a year ago but had a go with them. Restrictions went from 1000 to 500 to 10. Currently gone back up to 50 it seems so hoping this account may become useful over time.

BetStars – Abused them more recently as I trust them through Poker. Got gubbed but was allowed £20 each way on any horse at any odds. Was also allowed to multi bet if the odds changed. Got fully suspended last week after hitting a horse that won at 22/1, 20/1, 16/1 and 14/1.

Bet Victor, Stan James – Have closed my account down when being gubbed but have not tried these ones since.

Ladbrokes and Coral – Restricted to Pennies from being gubbed in my matched betting career.

I have been gubbed whilst matched betting from 2-3 more down the page and do have clean bill of health with another 2-3. I also note a couple of newer websites where I have not signed up to so may have a go with them.

I do have other tactics up my sleeve and it may be a case of I try them out for myself like I have tended to do over the last year and a half.

I just wondered if anyone was doing well with any site I have not mentioned. I do understand if people don’t want to post it and its ashame there isn’t a private mesage button on this Forum. Could be a recommendation for the future.

CMMD it was 1.75/ 1.39 on the Top two Place

Plus up to 25 Free bet if 2nd to the sp fav with paddy

3 Accounts so a easy 75 free bet and a nice profit on the place

Beetsy it would appear that you will just have to go to the shops and do it that way -I do 90percent of my bets in the shops, there is no other way – sure you can postphone it by getting more accounts and trying new bookies but they will get restricted in a matter of days/weeks

beesty I’ve signed, its totally out of order for a bookmaker not to provide a book! have a google for jimmy justice, there are plenty of campaigns going at the moment and the MPs are looking into all the operations of bookies from FBOTs to the unfair T+Cs on casino bonuses so hopefully something will be done.

i need to stop underlaying the place, I just cant hit at all

2 in one race today, nothing

had short price favourite arb also, didnt win

problem is after you underlay and miss, hard to stop and go back to laying to guarantee same whatever because you always feel you have lost out

i always underlay the bet365 off just because i dont like guaranteeing when the next race might not always been a good race for the risk free bet etc

If you’re going to get gubbed for winning, you might as well get a decent amount for it..

Hi all,

Keen to get stuck in to this and have tried it out today but I’m struggling a bit!

Could you explain what you look for when selecting a horse?

Also I saw the lay odds go down on the place markets but never big enough to make a decent profit, do you go with what’s offered in red on BetFair? Or do you set your own? If you do set your own how do you know what to set them at?

Right I have decided to make a decision and hope this is for the benefit of the community on here. Due to a so called service where someone on here is trying to get people to sign up to a tipping service and pay money for it I am deciding that for the foreseeable future I will write on here the races that are good for E/W arbing. There is enough information on the post to explain how to do it and I will not answer questions on how to do it but I will just post the best races in the day for it to work.
