The new platform is an absolute disgrace.
It sticks
It freezes
It shows prices that aren’t there
It doesn’t shows prices that are thereI have sent them an email to express my disappointment with the ‘upgrade’.
I know others have spoken to them on the phone and they are just not bothered.
Seriously considering removing my custom from them and just suck up the extra 3% commission with bfex.Thoughts?

did the same to me. pointed me towards the term that says something about rolling your winnings over if you haven’t used them much, but I am pretty sure its discretionary because when I questioned it they made me confirm THREE times that I agreed to the fee. when I logged in the other day (a year or so later) I noticed the amount they should have charged me was sitting in my balance! lol

Managed to lay some wins there today so saves some decent commission as my strategy is to back for £20 and lay for £20 which I call a SUPERMEXICANO.
Didn’t even look at the place market. Anybody any luck with this or has this market completely gone now?
+0I’m getting a really weird glitch right now on smarkets – I can’t scroll down the active bets section on the right hand side of the screen. Usually there is a button at the bottom that says show more, to click and display more bets but its no longer there and the bets just run off the bottom of the screen with no way to view the ones that aren’t visible. Is it just me or has this happened to anyone else? This is on Chrome.

+0Johnbo. When I used matchbook it was a long while ago and fairly decent but it went totally downhill. The website, customer service and transparency of withdrawal charges all left a lot to be desired.
It was only 1% comm then 1.15% after the consumption tax in the UK kicked in. It’s all changed now. I think it’s something like 1.7% comm. They charge comm on win bets and losing bets which is overly complicated and I think it is a big handicap for them when trying to gain new custom.

Absolutely terrible recently. Has cost me money this weekend. First was laying against a horse to place yesterday the liquidity I needed was there but it wouldnt take the bet despite the me pressing and pressing. Then on the mobile site today the price rose so placed my lower price calculation amount on the lay, as it was nearing the off. Then the price shot up so I stuck a quid on the win to round things up in my favor. Got the message your bet is fully matched. Then I watched the race, my horse won went to smarkets to add everything up the first message I see is “Your bet was cancelled” absolute disgrace. Was about to go out but then there was no history of any bets at all so thought id won with the bookies. I switched my girlfriends laptop on found the history. So then chatting with someone on customer support nothing they can do. Also freezes before the off on a race. Not good.+0
Not being funny but:
1) I’ve not noticed these problems myself but I always have money in betfair as an in case option
2) if it’s as bad as people are saying why wouldn’t u just use betfair or Betdaq. For the sake of a couple of %…I’m happy with smarkets but to those who obviously aren’t yet keep using it I have little simpathy

yup happened here too. was lucky tho, managed to have a horse matched in play that i hadn’t noticed didn’t get matched earlier so saved me £50 odd on my first outing with this new design. could’ve gone the other way though, so not impressed they did this without warning!
