SMARKETS – 'not fit for purpose'

  • The new platform is an absolute disgrace.

    It sticks
    It freezes
It shows prices that aren’t there
It doesn’t shows prices that are there

I have sent them an email to express my disappointment with the ‘upgrade’.
I know others have spoken to them on the phone and they are just not bothered.
Seriously considering removing my custom from them and just suck up the extra 3% commission with bfex.

    Thoughts?
    Anyone else contacted them?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Thanks @westmatch! Pleased to hear you’re finding it much quicker. Hopefully that will continue and we can get the forum buzzing again!

Matt, whilst you’re about. There seems to be an issue replying to a new thread? There isn’t the usual box to type in as with other threads. Whenever click reply, it doesn’t lead anywhere.. unless it’s an issue with my browser!

And I guess Betfair gave u a similar or better amount;-)

Thanks for responding. A comparison would be good for newer users. Agreed on both being useful at times, I guess the hard bit is building up that level of cash where you don’t mind having a reasonable amount sat in both

Thanks for flagging that up @mbpunter, I’ll take a look.

Yes exactly @betman. It’s one or the other for most people and unfortunately it’s impossible to please everyone!

    Hi,
I gave up on Smarkets as I simply was losing too much money due to bets not matching.
I switched back to Betdaq – which I notice not many people talk about on here. (Is there something Im missing?? lol)
Ive had a betfair account years before I even knew that Matched Betting existed, but I just have a personal preference for Betdaq at the minute – I dont seem to have a problem matching bets up, and I think its more user-friendly than Betfair.
For example if I place a lay bet which doesnt match, I can edit the odds and price without cancelling the bet and placing a new one.

If Betfair allows this would someone advise me how to adjust my settings – last time I used Betfair I was having to cancel and re-place lay bets if I wanted to amend. Im sure there will be a similar facility as betdaq??

    Cheers

on smarkets if you set up a lay bet say £10.73 at odds of 14 and then better lay odds of 13 become available it used to auto adjust your stake to £11.56 when you placed it, it does not do this now?? anyone know why or how to make it auto do it again?

EDIT: scrap that i have just noticed it did it, just not instant like before!

In association with “click my affiliate link” obviously 😀 thats marketing! Personally i use mostly smarkets not had any issues and plus linked to oddsmonkey its 0% commission.
